Dr. Leigh Hochberg, pioneer in brain-computer technology, receives 2022 VA Magnuson Award Leigh Hochberg, M.D., Ph.D., FAAN, FANA, director of the VA Center for Neurorestoration and Neurotechnology (CfNN), has received the 2022 VA Paul B. Magnuson Award for his work to improve the lives of Veterans and others who experience stroke, ALS, spinal cord injury, and neurological disease. 02-25-2022

Dr. Bruce Ovbiagele elected to National Academy of Medicine

Dr. Bruce Ovbiagele elected to National Academy of Medicine VA researcher Dr. Bruce Ovbiagele was elected to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) during its annual meeting on Oct. 18, 2021. Election to the academy is considered one of the highest honors in health and medicine. This honor recognizes outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service. 11-01-2021

VA researcher Dr. Ron Triolo named DAV's Outstanding VHA Employee Dr. Ron Triolo, executive director of the Advanced Platform Technology Center at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Ohio, was named the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Employee of the Year by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) for his work in restoring movement and sensation for Veterans with paralysis and limb loss. 09-28-2021
