I like the Jabber!
- Internal Chat
- User availability - status
- Internal meetings
- The app doesn't allow for you to call into meetings.
- Don't like how the app doesn't sync with the desktop version so you lose all your chats if you go back and forth.
- Don't like how you can't invite people outside of the organization into a video conference as you can on zoom or lifesize or teams.
Integrated phone
- makes calls
- takes messages
- redirect lines
- looks dated
- save contacts
- caller id
A sleek UI tool for organizational communication
- It helps quick text and audio call with peers.
- It provides status info on the availability of the peer.
- Helps block time for deep-work.
- Nice integration with Outlook and Webex makes it seamless to use.
- The tool is often slow to boot up.
- Unable to send messages if the peer is offline.
- Lack of features like threads and private groups.
Good one but it’s not the Best in market.
- Instant messaging
- Screen sharing
- File sharing
- User interface
- Time to load the application
Fantastic Messaging Program for Businesses
- Instant Messaging
- To schedule Meetings with your colleagues.
- To be able to make phone calls from your computer.
- I see no areas for improvement at this time.
Cisco Jabber: it could be a great software but you need someone to have it explained to you
- Chats
- Connecting with the VoIP Cisco phones.
- Opening automatically at windows startup. :-)
- Video-calling.
- Confusing and not immediate User interface.
- Advertise with the own UI what it offers.
Connected people from each other
You can have video calling functionality or you can use normal audio call to other user. This is the best app which give you quick access to any type of virtual conversation you need. Only disadvantage I feel that you can pick the singular message and reply it.
- Video Calling
- Phone call
- Screen Sharing
- Reply of particular message
- Use Different fonts
- More responsive on Status
Solid communication tool
- Works for quick communication internally. Sending a teammate an instant message is easy and straightforward.
- Easy to see co-worker status
- Allows for virtual phone calls
- Can be somewhat slow starting up
- Does not save instant message chats
- Audio settings can seem inconsistent
- The ability to expand & collapse contact groups is great for handling multiple project teams and chat clutter reduction.
- Tags placed under each contact name that display their status availability help us determine whether everyone in a project team is online & ready to enter a meeting.
- Stable, crystal clear audio & video quality amid calls & online meetings.
- Mobile & desktop availability for on-the-go communication with project teams.
- Chat messages & files sent from the computer sometimes do not appear on the mobile app (& vice versa) despite having a stable network connection at the office. This unsynchronized issue doesn't occur quite often, but it's noteworthy.
- File-transfer size limit of 100MB should definitely be increased, as I received numerous complaints from several team members in regards to having to create (& thus send) multiple zip files rather than a single file containing all the project files at once.
- Integrated OCR functionality for scanning photos containing text is missing, hence the reliance on other software to perform said function.
- Easy connection with internal and external colleagues via syncing with Outlook contacts.
- Single Number Reach (SNR) enables connectivity and consistent contact number in any geographic location, which is great during business travel.
- Great compatibility with a headset or other Bluetooth devices. Retains all functionality of an office phone but eliminates the need for transporting hardware equipment.
- It isn't a common enough platform among external users to effectively get used out of all available features such as videoconferencing.
- It does not have some functionality that Microsoft Teams does, including meeting scheduling and attendance tracking. It is primarily a VoIP software solution.
- It does not appear to have cross-functionality with other common platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom. It would be convenient if one could use Cisco Jabber to contact an external stakeholder that uses a different platform while retaining full functionality.
Love communicating
- Great for quick communication
- No need to hunt out a phone number
- Displays availability of colleagues
- The hunt function isn't suitable for our organisation
- Voicemail can be a bit clunky
- The meeting element is very basic
- It's being overtaken by MS teams, which is a pity because the communicator is much nicer/simpler on Cisco Jabber
VOIP solution with the right amount of features.
- Integration to physical and soft phones
- Full functionality of a VOIP system without the need for extra hardware
- Chat and messaging capability built-in
- Call and conference features are separate from WebEX or other similar solutions
- Functions primarily as a VOIP solution and not truly a unified solution
- Usability features are lacking compared to Zoom or Teams
A smaller player in a land of giants
- User interface is nice
- Support material was good
- Cisco is reliable and not overwhelmed like Zoom
- It's not a power player among the giants and its felt
- Configuration can at times be difficult
- Recognition and use have a bit of a learning curve because it isn't as common of a platform
- Audio calls
- Video Calls
- Call forwarding
- Multiple lines on single login
- conferencing during a call can be a little cumbersome
- Putting on hold and calling another person and then resuming hold is a hassle sometimes
- Auto log out if not managed correctly by Telephony team
Helped get me through a difficult time
- Easy to answer calls
- Easy to place calls
- Create phone book
Amazing Collaboration Tool, Highly Scalable and Secure!
- Chat and group chat are great
- Calling features such as pick group, redirect to voicemail, hunt group and see presence status
- Possible integrations such as XMPP federation, Mobile remote Access and calls B2B (SIP and H323)
- The warning certificate is quite annoying. It would be great to have a configuration that hides or disable this notification.
- Integration and possibility to integrate with omnichannel tools
The best tool to organize and have videoconferences
- The professionalism that Cisco Jabber has is positive, it contains an excellent functionality through its videoconferences that help to complement the idea of reciprocal communication with the client.
- The investment is low because the prices are anchored under a payment system very well done.
- I can often interact with many clients, firms and much more.
- Everything is excellent with this program; it has no margin of error in its information uploading processes, and the Cisco Jabber execution is simple.
Jabber is a Solid but not stellar IP phone software
- Fairly easy to use.
- Simple interface.
- Some integrations.
- Call quality could be better.
- Audio functions could be easier to access.
- Needs better cross-functionality with call control software.
- Customer service
- Easy integration
- Well known
- Transcription services
- Phone log data
