Pinned thread about me and my 3 books. I'm a writer (not a midwife!) and I write books that reframe the narrative around female biology. All 3 of my books carry a similar message, your female body is strong, interesting, and something to appreciate and love!

Her talk from last night is not online yet but if you only do one thing today I highly recommend you listen to her speak here:

Fantastic evening last night at on subject of women's sports with and from . The most moving speech came from surprise guest 'swim mom'. She highlights so well how this is very much not just about sports.

"Ambiguous language and weak definitions risk criminalising ethical exploratory therapy". The treatment of children with gender dysphoria should be everyone's concern. I've signed this letter about conversion therapy.

Our own 🇦🇺 health department can’t answer the question, ‘what is a woman’? This is the same department that changed ‘woman’ to ‘person’ in the COVID guide for pregnant breastfeeding 👩 and got the science wrong. See our paper. Happy to help

Nobody knows what a woman is but if someone says they are one they are. Makes sense.

I just can't get over the gaslighting of telling women "there's no clear definition of 'female' or 'male' so you can't organise on the basis of biological sex" but also "it's imperative children don't go through the 'wrong' puberty, which we can easily predict"

On the plus side the defamatory group of midwives all agreed that it was accurate to describe me as 'the JKRowling of the birth world' which I took as a supreme compliment 😂

I never thought I'd be tweeting in support of Boris but this is absolutely the clear, respectful common sense we need. 👏🎯

In the same group, midwives spread misinformation eg, "men can give birth and this is a gender other than female" (that was from one of the admins!). I hate the toxicity of this but I won't stand by while not just my reputation & livelihood but also basic biology is undermined.

I've spent the morning sending screenshots of a thread in a really high profile student midwife support group with 32k members to . The mods of this group nodded in approval as I was called toxic, racist, transphobic and accused of 'targeted long term violence'.

Ps by case studies I mean literally any documented story, even a twitter thread, any account at all.
