Well there sure is a dramatic 'barrel' effect to this particular lens.

I digitally corrected it, but that took all the charm out of the scene

Kodak Bellows Camera one of my old finds, still in pretty fair condition, found in North Carolina.

Mechanical Clockwork type. Found this at a

the Photographic Historical Society of Canada (PHSC) swap meet some years ago. Made in U.S.A.

Now in this photo book:

Kodak black and white proof sheet right out of my darkroom and taken from a Winston Rodney's (aka Burning Spear) reggae concert in Negril, Jamaica, 1980.

This is the most basic version of the Kodak Tourist. It has a fixed focus Kodet f12.2 lens and a Kodon shutter (2 blade) with a fixed shutter speed of 1/50th of a second.

This is my Kodak Brownie 127, made in England in probably millions of copies in a production run over three models from 1952 to 1967. Bakelite plastic was the real thing back then.

This is model 2 made from 1959 to 1963. Fixed focus lens at f11 and fixed shutterspeed at probably at something like 1/50 sec with a rotary shutter. This camera is very common in Europe but more rare in America from what I understand.

Sometimes, you just wanna shoot sumpin', anything. So, what's more appropriate than shooting a camera with a camera? Throw in a little film tin, also from Kodak, and ya got yerself a perfect trifecta. You may have to think about that one. lol

These two Kodak cameras from my collection are from about the same time period and I noticed that the top plates are made from the same gray plastic that Kodak called Tenite, and both cameras had identical knobs. Even so, they are very different cameras.

The one on the left is a "Pony" produced from 1950 to 1954 with a Kodak Anaston 51mm f4.5 - f22 lens and shutter speeds from 1/25 to 1/200 with M sync. It used 135 film.

The one on the right is a "Tourist" folding camera produced from 1948 to 1951 before being replaced by the similar "Tourist II". I used this camera many years ago and it worked great. It was unique because it used 620 film but an adaptor kit was available so 828 film could be used. Very few cameras have ever been made that could use significantly different film. The camera was available with different lens / shutter combinations. This one has a Kodak Anaston 105mm f6.3 lens and a Diomatic shutter with speeds from 1/25 to 1/100 plus bulb and time settings.

A little photographic history!

The Kodak Instamatic 100 was introduced in March 1963 and produced until 1966. It is a fairly basic camera, using a 126 film cartridge developed by Eastman Kodak in response to consumer complaints about difficulties in loading film. the movie.

Although not the first Instamatic camera, the basic Instamatic 100 was the first model released in the United States in 1963. Like the Kodak Brownie, the Instamatic had a fixed shutter speed, aperture, and focus, so it was of a very simple camera, proof of anyone who wanted to use it.

... as always, thank you very much for the visits, favorites and kind comments.
