    “WP Engine’s growth strategy, in part, appears to be differentiating itself by acquiring popular software. They did this with the purchase of StudioPress in 2018 and got a lot of press as a result. However, the software has been almost completely stagnant since then.”

    The last 1/2 to 1/3 of this episode answers a question that I’ve been asked three separate times by different people in the WP community.

    "Focusing on minutia, especially early in the process, psychologically relieves the hiring manager of some of the challenging decisions. That feels good for the hiring manager, but is bad for the long term results of your recruiting process."
