    This is actively harmful to disabled users, users in stress conditions. In a (long ago) usability test, watched client’s screen pop up an unrelated feature alert. User lost their shit. Client uninterested because not part of scripted test.

    I would really like if software could stop repeatedly and aggressively pushing me to use features I am clearly not interested in. Just leave me alone. It’s my computer and my time, so stop invading both of these. It feels like someone is constantly badgering me.

    Hey accessibility folks, accessibilitychecker•org is a bad actor in our space. It uses SEO tactics to drive traffic with inaccurate articles, its automated checking tool recommends overlays, and it uses the AudioEye overlay. Do not share.

    After running a web site check, the “Fix Issues” button has been expanded to recommend accessiBe and UserWay under the text “these automated tools will help you become compliant under United States law.”
    The same page with the AudioEye overlay expanded to cover the entire screen.

    The new is disastrous for accessibility. I'm trying to schedule a group with several users of screen readers. The new interface is unusable for them. I'm left scrambling for an alternative.

    I still cannot get over that BoIA / AudioEye would deign to own the numeronym ‘a11y’. Do I have to include the ® symbol on every time I tweet it? ® Welp, I guess even Twitter knows better than to make it part of the hashtag.

    BoIA registered and has the service mark for “A11Y” as of September 2015: That numeronym was in common use well before the BoIA filing date of 15 April 2015: Will AudioEye move to enforce its mark when used by events, brands?

    Filed an accessibility issue against ’s WP Dark Mode WordPress plug-in: The demo site is dead, but from a couple sites using it I can say do not use this plug-in as it will add WCAG auto-fails until they can fix it. I provided instructions how.
