Ekaterina Chitashvili (born 4 April 1976) is a Georgian producer of music events and TV projects.

Biography[edit]

Chitashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, on 4 April 1976. Her first steps in her entertainment career were as a soloist in a children's variety ensemble Mziuri of the children's folk instrumental ensemble "Saundje", in 1982. From 1984 she was a soloist in the children's ballroom dancing ensemble "Gazafxuli", under the direction of Tengiz Sanadze. In 1989, she graduated from a children's piano school.

In 1998, she graduated from the Law Faculty of Tbilisi State University. After graduating, she established an international concert company, MaximuM, and has worked in showbusiness since. Since 2003, she has been working to organize international music concerts for the Tbilisi concert halls "16 Rounds" and "Berikoni". In 2006, she moved to Moscow to study at the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music. [1][failed verification]

After graduating from the Academy in 2010, Ekaterine Chitashvili moved to Moldova and was the general company producer for Elat Concerts, organising international music festivals and competitions, television, music projects and producing popular bands and Moldavian artists. She was also working to expand her own business, MaximuM, which today has 13 offices in the Americas, Europe and CIS.[2] During her creative and business activities, she received certificates and awards in various categories. Since 2011 has been a member of the World Association of Festivals and Artists (WAFA). [3] [4] Since 2012, Chitashvili has been working on a book, Confessions of a Producer, scheduled for release in 2014, in Russian and English.[5]

Producer[edit]

Since 2009, Chitashvili has been the general producer of the international singing competition, "Golden Voices Moldova",[6][7] as well as the International Music Competition, "Golden Wings Moldova".[8] In 2010 she became the first musical producer in Moldova, producing The Gates,[9] and was also the creator and general producer of the International TV competition, "Golden Talent", and the director and producer of the "Worldstar" International Performance Contest.[10] [11]

Jury[edit]

Chitashvili has appeared as a member of the jury in a number of international singing competitions:

  • In 2006, she was the jury member and partner of the "Crystal Stork" international contest for young pop singers in Moldova.[12]
  • In 2007 she was member of the jury of "Faces of Friends" international singing competition in Moldova.[13]
  • In 2008 and 2010 she was a member of the jury at the Sea Songs singing TV show in Ukraine.[14]
  • In 2010, she was a partner in the CIS international popular music festival, "Discovery" in Bulgaria, and "Canzonidalmondo" in Italy.[15][16]
  • In 2012 she was a jury member and partner of the international singing competition "Eurokids" in Italy.

Honors[edit]

In 2005, she was named MEGA Business Woman of the year at the national music awards ceremony.[17] In 2006, she received the prize in the category of Producer at the national music awards ceremony MEGA 2006. In 2011, she got a diploma LOAD azhdena World Association of Festivals and Artists «WAFA» - For contribution to the development of international cultural relations.[18] In 2011 she was awarded - for his contribution to the development of international cultural relations at the "Star Dvenadtsatiluchevoy Credit" [19][20]
