It worked! The cost was a little high, but to fix it the way that he did, I guess he was reasonable. The quality of work is excellent. Well, they didn't show up which kept them from getting the work done in a timely manner.

  • TRAVERS PLUMBING & HEATING
    5.0
They're very honest and they call back immediately. They're very, very, flexible especially since we're out of state. We used them before we moved, so we already had a relationship. I can always count on Travers and when they tell me something I know that it's true. I don't have to guess or suspect that I'm being taken for a ride. They're very honest and they even call me back to say if I really want to do something if it's not necessary. I have the utmost confidence in them and I have never had a problem with them. The only reason it was so expensive when they came out the last time was because it was so complicated. While we were living there I liked to have the heat system checked. The first time they came in they checked everything and told me it was fine and said that they really couldn't charge me because they didn't do anything even though they came to the house. I've never had that happen. I've even had a plumber call with a renter in the house and say that they were in the house and I should make the renters pay because it's their fault and not the plumbings fault, so I have the utmost faith in Travers. There are somethings that could be a little less, but they're very fair. I did do the research and there are things that they are equal to others, but for the most part I've found them to be prompt and they're very clean. They always clean behind themselves, so I was very happy. They usually respond the same day. It might not be right away because usually they have other appointments, but it's usually the same day and you might be the last one of the day. They're always there when they are supposed to be and are always fast. They're very professional

We woke up to a wet garage. Water heater was leaking from top of tank. Tank was very old so we were not surprised. Husband called company at approximately 7:00 AM. Husband was given quote and told he was first on the list today. They were scheduled to show up at 9:30 (arrived early 9:15). Confirmed price with Tommy Cooper (the head repair guy) and gave him angie's list coupon. Mr. Cooper was very good in providing the steps and process that was going to take place and also on what they would need me to do on the inside of the house (turn off faucet, turn back on). All was said and done within in hour. When I commented upon that he said that it is not normally this easy - he stated a lot of water tanks in the area are located in the attic and that it takes more time to replace one of those. Was very impressed with the overall service and friendliness of Mr. Cooper and his associate. I will definitely use this company again and I will recommend it to anyone who is looking for plumbing services

Another plumbing company had cut our sewer line and was recommending we hook up to city sewer which would have cost THOUSANDS of dollars. this company pumped out septic tank, found where sewer line was cut and told us there was nothing wrong with our septic system. I would highly recommend.

OK, where to start. We just purchased our house. It was a foreclosure and bought as is. We closed on the house and went up to spend the weekend there and get some painting and cleaning done (we lived about 4 hours away). Upon arriving for the weekend, I noticed an alarm on the septic system control panel. Not knowing anything about septic systems, I looked on the control panel and there was a sticker on the side with Mike's name and company name on it. I called Mike and he immediately knew which house I purchased. He told me the previous owners were having financial difficulty and did not properly maintain the system. They flushed paper towels down the toilet among other things. Additionally, the blower was getting shorted out by the bubbles created in the tank because of the amount of laundry detergent they were using. He recommended repairs to the system, but they did not follow through and asked him to make the minimal amount of repairs required to keep the system working. So needless to say the system was in bad shape when we bought the place. I explained to Mike, that we were leaving Monday morning and would not be back for two more weeks. He came out on Sunday morning (at no charge, well, that is not true, he said it would cost us a cup of coffee, which we had waiting for him) and showed both my wife and myself how the system works, where the components were located, and even showed us pictures he had taken from his previous work on the system. He also gave us an estimate on the work that would be required to fix the system. We asked him to do the work, and asked him if he could complete the job before we moved in in two weeks. He said he would try to rearrange his schedule to complete the work on time but he couldn't promise us anything. Well, Mike managed to complete the job on time. He e-mailed updates and pictures the entire time. He did everything he could to keep the cost down (including driving 3 hours to get the materials instead of having them shipped and charging us the shipping. Mike is a rare find. He is VERY professional, but is VERY personable also. He took a genuine interest in us and getting the job done correctly and on time. He even answered questions we had about the water softener, well system and other things that we had no idea about (we moved from the city, so we have never had any of these systems). I cannot say enough positive things about Mike and Aquarobic Services!!!

It was fantastic. Very professional and timely. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, and they were finished when they said they would be finished. They were also the middle quote of three quotes that we had received. They should have an A+ for quality.

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
