They were prompt, polite and very efficient. Israel and Fernando were wonderful, explaining how to access and clean the duct myself in the future. It turned out that my duct was very easy to assess and quick to service so they reduced the price of service. Thanks for the great service.

Great. Service guy was very friendly. Walked me through services to be performed and then went off to do the job. The vacuum hose was solid black so I was unable to see how much dust/dirt actually was cleaned out of the ducts. I'd just assumed that the duct cleaning would use a clear tube/hose to show the client how much was getting cleaned. Unfortunately not. So I just have to trust that the ducts were completely cleaned. Only con: Once the vacuum hose was hooked up to one of the vents, the guy then walks around with an air gun to all the other vents and sprays them with air to kick up the dust inside the duct. The dust in the duct then gets pulled to the one vent with the large vacuum attached. A by-product of this, though, resulted in dust getting left behind on my carpet directly in front of the vents. The dust-bunnies were large enough to the visible eye. Yes, it's because the external surface of the vents were dusty, but it would have great if the guy had a small hand-held vac to clean up the visible dust left behind. After he left I then had to go around to 3 or 4 vents with the hand-held vac to perform the quick cleanup.

The services were excellent - thorough, careful and complete. Arrived on time, and walked through the house to be certain that all vents were located. In addition, noted an issue in the basement where the vents originate and suggested a solution. Very, very pleased with this service and recommend Oren without reservation.

Aircom

I first contacted Aircom cause I barely had any air coming out of some of our air ducts. They responded within minutes and schedule an inspection for me Sean the inspector of Aircom came right on time, climbed up to my attic and found a bad rat infestation in the insulation and damage to our metal air ducts. he explained the options of what needs and can be done. I got a few more quotes just to find out that I got a great deal from Aircom for cleaning my attic and replace all the air ducts in it. The whole work was done in one day while we were in the house. they covered all of the work space with plastic and made sure everything stays clean when they leave. Now my attic is 100% cleaned and sanitized and all of my duct system is brand new and the airflow is better than ever. definitely 5 stars from start to finish. I recommend Aircom to anyone in need of air duct work or attic cleaning.

Perfection! They showed up on time, cleaned the air ducts and dryer vent and even repaired an air duct that was not connected to anything (no wonder that particular room was always cold!). Would definitely recommend and would hire again.

When the service tech arrived, he stated that he needed to see the ducting in the attic. This was never stated on the sales call and, in fact, our vents are totally covered over by an attic floor. He would not do the furnace duct cleaning without seeing the ducts. I then asked what the cost would be to just clean the dryer vent and duct. He said $10 per foot and estimated that we had a 15 foot duct. So, $150 minimum. This is clearly a bait and switch operation. I asked the service tech to leave.

Jeremy was professional and courteous when he came to my house. Finished the job quickly and gave me some good advice re. repairing an air duct rather than replacing (which I had them do as well). Will use again!

The vent cleaner staff was great. They left maintenance instructions and were thorough in making sure they left everything clean. They also went above and beyond and reinstalled/reseated a vent that had been improperly installed in our remodel.

Knowledgeable estimator. Estimate was provided quickly, but too expensive for my budget. Apparently I have some asbestos wrapped ducts, and they told me I would have to replace them if I wanted the interior of ducts cleaned.

The crew arrived on time and very professional. They connected a powerful vacuum to one of the vents and blew pressurized air in others, one at a time, while keeping others covered with old wrinkly new papers (they could have used a thick plastic vacuum seals for vents) The vents look clean superficially, but there is no way of telling if everything inside the ducts are indeed clean. I did see some sediments stuck around vents below the cover plate, that could not have dislodged with pressurized air, so I don't blame them. The whole process took less than 1 hour, so $245 seems pretty steep, but i guess I would also have to account for their powerful vacuum equipment....oh well, i still think it is expensive

They called and verified date & times. Arrived when they were supposed to and wore shoe booties every time they entered the house. Asked permission to move a big couch in the family room to access the ceiling vent which became the main vent to suck all the dirt from the other vents. They explained in detail before they started the whole procedure and what it took to clean and sanitize all vents. They were very professional and courteous. I was very pleased with this company and their two servicemen. Would recommend them.

After a few false starts on the appointment time, the technician came out right on time and did a very thorough job of cleaning air ducts. He took a little over an hour to clean both the air ducts and the dryer vent. He was professional and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use again.

The vent cleaning service was minimal, the effectiveness of which is questionable, serving mostly as an opportunity to sell more comprehensive services.

Very well. The team called to say that they could come earlier than scheduled. We agreed on an earlier time and all went well from that point. They were neat and appeared to have done a good job. A new air vent filter was installed, and I was shown how to remove it for cleaning.

This is the second time that we've hired this company to clean our furnace, ducts and dryer vent. Juan and a crew of two men arrived on time, and worked so quickly and efficiently. We found a problem with one of our air ducts that resulted in very little air flowing through one of the vents, and ended up replacing about 25 feet of air duct. Even with that "surprise", the crew finished the job under the time they estimated to get the work done. The work was fast and clean, and they left the place spotless. See you guys in two years!

very well. I hadn't had anything cleaned in years and vents were very dirty and dryer vent to outside was partially blocked. I bought the angie's list deal for the a/c and furnace for $197 and paid $99 for dryer vent cleaning. Young men were very courteous, efficient and professional.

However, we may have pros in another category that can help with your project.

Proper HVAC maintenance is one of the best ways of keeping energy consumption low and enjoying better indoor air quality.

Along with replacing filters on schedule and checking the thermostat frequently, it's also important to regularly clean ducts and vents. Duct cleaning problems cause high energy bills during both summer and winter.

Professional duct cleaning, in some cases, can lead to energy savings of 20%.

Why duct cleaning is important

Having ducts professionally cleaned is beneficial in many different ways:

  • Improved indoor air quality - Air ducts accumulate dirt and debris over the years. They may also be susceptible to pest infestation if they haven’t been sealed. These particles pollute indoor air supply reducing the quality of the air you breathe. With proper cleaning, dirt and debris is removed from your home’s air supply.
  • Increased comfort - If ducts are not clean, you may experience inconsistent air temperature in different parts of the home. For example, some rooms may be too hot or too cold because various ducts are partially blocked or heavily soiled. With proper cleaning, airflow is consistent and reliable at all times.

Duct Cleaning costs

The average duct cleaning cost for most homeowners is $400, with prices fluctuating between $300-$500. You should expect to pay about $35 per vent (with the cost being slightly higher for larger homes).

Some hiring tips:

  • Be wary of low price offers - some contractors don’t actually provide quality cleaning services.
  • Some services may claim the ducts are infested with mold in order to up-sell on unnecessary services.
  • Ensure that the contractor uses the right equipment during cleaning.
  • Have the contractor use outdoor vent equipment in order to avoid polluting your home during the cleaning process.
  • Make sure your contractor is adequately qualified and experienced in order to prevent any duct cleaning problems.
