Our roof was 21 years old and we knew it was time to get it looked at. We were concerned about the leaking area and the moss growth so we researched companies and had a few come out. Ryan was wonderful. He went over everything with us, showed us a whole picture of our roof which was different than previous companies. Ryan showed us samples and color swatches and allowed us to make our decision. The warranty and price was very good. The install crew was great. They took everything off our back porch to protect our grill and furniture. They were so courteous and friendly. I was impressed they blew off the roof, the gutters, and the yard after they were done. They walked the parameter to gather nails and they didn’t leave a thing. We love our roof.

Everything was efficient and right on the timeline they presented. I was impressed with everyone. They made me feel like their only customer. Larry was very knowledgeable pertaining this the roofing process and shingles that would last in Michigan weather. He introduced me to brand new products and exaplined them easily. I was shocked when the price was $3,000 less than my other estimate. He reaffirmed everything the prior estimate told me and explained more. The crew was fast. My roof was completed in one day. Only drawback is the damaged marigolds around my home due to the tarps they put down to protect my home while tearing off. Otherwise, highly recommend using them.

Chris and Jason were great! Super friendly and easy to work with during the consult. We felt like they understood our needs/hesitations and were able to properly address them. They were also able to provide the quote on-site, and quickly, which was incredibly helpful (suprisingly, some other companies were not able to do that!). Once we narrowed down our roof color choices to a handful, Jason kindly dropped off samples. He was really patient while we were standing outside in the cold, comparing colors and asking questions to make our final decision. The day of the install, the crew was prompt and incredibly efficient. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner, and they were honest enough to replace a gutter that was damaged during the work. We love how the Pewter Grey adds a modern look to our house, and overall, we're really happy with our new roof!

Recent Review: I have been a landlord for 44 years, so I have bought a lot of roofs in my lifetime. Avalon's roof is by far the best one I have bought. They called me to offer a free roofing inspection and estimate so I granted the appointment in order to budget as I knew my roof would need to be replaced. Clint arrived on time and was a good salesman. I knew I wanted a 100% asphalt shingle as it is the best money can buy. Clint informed me on the shingle I selected, the company, and training program the crews undertake before stepping foot on a roofing project. I was impressed. The day it was scheduled to be installed Avalon' s crew arrived at 7:30 in the morning. They immediately started shoveling snow off my roof. There were guys everywhere preparing for the project. The crew tore off shingles and found additional water damage that needed to be replaced. They were some of the nicest bunch of guys I have had the pleasure of working with. Avalon ended up replacing 12 boards on my roof before installing the new shingles. The crew completed my home, breezeway, two stall garage, and my pole barn in less than one day. This is by far the best roof I have purchased in the 44 years I have been buying roofs.

Recent Review: They were extremely professional. No driveway or street full of cars during the job. They arrived everyday in a company vehicle - small point, but shows the attitude of the company. They were very respectful of our home, landscaping and the neighborhood. In my opinion, they used superior products (under-layment), sealing nails, etc., than other companies I had quote the job (for the same price). They did a great job that was completed in a short time period. Clean-up was also great - didn't even know they had been there (except for the new roof) when they were gone.

Recent Review: They called to let me know they would delay a couple days due to weather. They came on a day that committed to, arrived at 08:00 as they said, had a very large crew. Originally they told me this would be a two day job, but they were able to complete in one day. They put tarps on sidewalks, flower beds, and the deck to help keep them clean. they also put plywood over windows and our porch to prevent them from getting broken. Each member of the crew had tasks to complete. The team worked very well together, and were pleasent to interact with. I had water damage to the roof boards caused by the winter weather. They worked with my insurance company to let them know the extent of the damage and provided a bill for the portion of the work covered by insurance. The sales rep., Jeremiah and owner Melvin were on site the first part of the day to make sure there were no issues and the work progressed on schedule. Jeremiah is a very professional individual, answers all questions and provides a detailed contract, a very pleasant man to work with. Best part of the entire day is the excellent job they team does cleaning up the mess. This includes the great job they do gathering all of the nails, sweeping the driveway and picking up all of the old scraps of shingles and paper. I would hire with this company again!!

Recent Review: Light Of Day was by far the most affordable out of 11 different quotes, especially since I needed my garage decking redone. Almost every other quote was at least 1.5x the price, and some were nearly TRIPLE! Not only was the price fair, but they finished both buildings in 3 days and cleaned the yard so thoroughly I struggled to find even a couple tar paper flecks. 10 years later the roof still looks nearly brand new, and I still have 10 years left on their workmanship warranty. 10/10 would recommend these guys to ANYONE who is in their area. Especially to anyone worried about getting **** poor craftsmanship or scammed/ripped off. *photo is of roof after 10 years.

Recent Review: We found out about them at the Grand Rapids Home show and set up an appointment. The salesperson was very good at explaining the details of the steel roof and what type of workmanship to expect for our money. The materials were dropped off on a Monday. The installation followed on the next 2 days. All of the crew were very professional and polite. They answered any questions that we had as the job progressed. They cleaned up the area very well before leaving and were also careful around the plants so as not to damage them. We've had several positive comments about how good the new roof looks. Even though it's a steel roof, it looks very much like a typical asphalt shingle roof. In case you're wondering, it's not any more noisy in a rainstorm than a regular roof. I can't tell the difference. We'd definitely recommend them!

Recent Review: Eric from All in One Builders started at 6:30pm on a Saturday evening, was done just as darkness fell. His workmanship was excellent, and he was very pleasant to work with. Brought all necessary equipment and materials, layed down tarps, was respectful of adjacent scrubs, etc . Successfully trimmed around pool heater stack roof-thru, and all nails are hidden, including on ridges and edges. Clean-up exceeded expectations. Overall excellent job.
