HMS did a very fine job. Handled details we did not anticipate. Cleaned up every night before leaving. When work was completed looked like it was original part of house.

.. We previous had experience with Dwight Jacobsen (Jacobsen Remodeling, Inc) as he completely remodeled our kitchen a few years back. The result was fantastic. We contacted Dwight again, knowing we would receive the fairest , best quality, and timeliest workmanship available. In June 2011, I drew a preliminary plan for the addition, based on our requirements. We met with Dwight & his selected Designer and discussed the project. A few changes were made for the handicap rooms and by early July we had the building permit and the work began. The excavators came first & dug the space for the foundation & crawkspace. By mid July the concrete foundation & crawlspace were poured & completed. The rough-in carpenters & roofers came next, completing the outside walls, interior rafters, and roof by late July. Insulation was applied on the roof interiors, the inside wall interiors, the foundation inside walls by early August. The plumbing, and heating ducts were roughed-in by early August, as was the electrical wiring & outlets. The dry-walls were installed about the second week of August, then the handicap shower and cabinet installed in the bathroom. Following that, the base cabinet for the laundry was installed. The finish work on the dry-walls was completed the next week.Outside vinyl siding was completed by mid August. Finish carpenters began installing doors, wood molding, sinks and commode by mid August. Plumbing and heating was completed at that time too. The painters began on the walls, doors and molding, doing a great job with the stain, completing everything by mid to late August. The carpet and vinyl flooring was installed in early September. We had the upright freezer, washer & dryer moved from the basement into the laundry room at that time. The township inspectors issued the final approval to occuply, and we moved into the new addition. Dwight Jacobsen managed this project with great skill. He was present during each phase and workday, directing the work and suggesting better ways to accomplish the job being done. All the work crews displayed a great knowledge of trheir craft. The addition was a beautiful success because of them, an d Dwight's supervision. Last, but not least, this project is "Grandma Approved". "

Ken Idema is a very nice person and he personally did a very good job, however, some of the sub contractors were not held to task or performed the quality expected. Ask questions and oversee every aspect of your project is necessary. If you want more detail regarding our project and further review, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Thank you

We have used Randy three different times, and each time he does a great job. He is always on time, and he is polite and professional. His hourly rate ($25.00) is very reasonable. He did charge more for installing the sump pump backup, but that was fine with us since that job required special know-how (he still charges less than a plumber would have for that job). I will definitely use him again in the future.

I was very pleased with the results. New Image remodeling did exactly what they said they would do and at a fair price. They completed their work before agreed upon completion date. I was so pleased with their work, I kept adding side projects to the original proposal and they still finished early. New Image Remodeling made sure I was completely satisfied with their work before final payment. I will use New Image Remodeling again for future remodeling projects.

Home Pro of West Michigan LLC

This company is one of the best out there. This is the third time we have had work done by them and are very pleased. The current epidemic would be the only reason for the 4 stars in any category. Otherwise it is 5 stars all the way. There are fewer employees out there so it can take a bit longer to get the work done or get the needed supplies. They are higher priced, I believe, but you get what you pay for.

DreamScape Home Improvement

Dream Scape Home Improvement remodeled my bathroom which included plumbing services. I had a great experience with this provider. I have used him in the past for another bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel and roofing work. I feel the price was reasonable for the work performed. He is professional and prompt and I will use him again in the future. Dream Scape was remodeling my bathroom which included electrical work. They moved fixtures to accommodate a bigger size vanity and converted lights to chandeliers. This involved them moving the electrical boxes. They did a great job and I am happy with the work performed.

Handyman Joel was very friendly, honest on pricing, loyal/determined on his work, and communicates very well. Very good listener and I would say a weakness of his is he can be too keen to details. If you want something done a certain way he'll treat it as his own and keep on assuring that the work he is doing is what you want.

Randy and Trent did a great work on the job plus they were able to get a couple of things done that we added at the last second (added a canned light in the ceiling and painted the second closet). We had a few requests for them after the job was finished and I sent them an email to summarize. They replied to the email immediately and scheduled a time to come back only a few days later. They arrived on time and completed all requests even though a couple of them were not easy. I was very pleased with all aspects of the transaction. Further, they went the extra mile without us even asking when they repaired a hole in the wall in our master bedroom. We didn't even realize it until they were gone. Class act. I would highly recommend them to anyone based on their friendly approach, quality of work and professionalism. Thanks Randy and Trent.

Jason did an amazing job. Our bathroom was in rough shape, and we brought Jason in to completely gut and redo it. It now looks like something that belongs in a spa. He started very close to his original timeline that was laid out. We didn't have weeks go by without any progress, workers were here almost every day. He was able to accommodate some late changes and additions without an issue. The two things that always said it were his dedication to quality, and that he was just as excited to see the finished product as we were.

Recent Review: It started out really good. There were a few bumps, i.e. workers quit, got hurt, but that is part of the construction business. Overall it was a good process. I am very pleased with what they did. They completely revamped my kitchen, they tore down walls, built up a beam, raised a window, moved my sink from one side of the kitchen. I had to also buy a whole box of siding to fix where they raised the window, so the guy went around my house and replaced all broken or bad siding with what was left. Way above and beyond! I would definitely recommend them. Tim was a great liason. He promptly responded to my texts and he always kept me in the loop!

Recent Review: Beautiful! We couldn't ask for better. Jessie is meticulous and sweats the details, like compensating for our off-plumb walls. My glass tile trim, accents and backsplash turned out perfect. He also moved the shower drain and did a bit of other minor plumbing. We really appreciated his advice on tile source, layout and glass door. We would highly recommend him.

What do customers in Grand Rapids say about Remodel Master Bedroom?

We have owned three homes in 35 years, so I've had my fair share of dealing with all different kinds of contractors -- carpenters, electricians, plumbers, remodelers, builders, etc. -- and I have my fair share of horror stories. Anyone who has had to deal with contractors knows that it's largely one big headache, and that there are a whole bunch of unscrupulous ones out there. This project was a 4-week, full gut of the bathroom attached to the master bedroom, including structural changes, and I have to say it was the least painful contractor-related experience I've ever had. Chad Wildern (President and owner of Meadow Ridge) was a pleasure to work with. He's very accommodating, honest, forthright, punctual, respectful of other's property, and talented in the construction trade. He showed up every morning at the appointed time (usually 8 a.m.), carefully covered the floors and any affected furniture with drop cloths, and did it whether it was he or a subcontractor doing the work that day. Chad was *on the job* every single morning, regardless of who was doing the work that day. He kept a close eye on all of his subs, making sure that their work was performed according to his standards, and that there were no shortcuts being taken. He was extremely attentive to details, often making suggestions to improve the overall outcome of the project, and was careful to discuss each phase of the project with me before it began and while it was in progress. (He even made cost-cutting suggestions!) If he didn't think something was going to work the way I was anticipating, he didn't hesitate to tell me and explain why. He's an excellent communicator. Even though I consider myself to be a "stickler for details" and do not hesitate to voice concerns to make sure everyone's all on the same page, Chad was always 2 or 3 steps ahead of me; he's really a pro. At the end of each day, whether or not he performed work that day or it was a sub working, Chad was there to inspect the progress, collect all of the drop cloths and make sure everything was cleaned up. One of the best parts of working with Chad is that I always knew what I was paying for: his contract is very clear, specific, and forthright; you know exactly what you're paying for materials, labor, and his construction management fee. There is no guessing, no feeling of being nickel-and-dimed to death. Structural changes included the removal of a ceiling bulkhead that ran above the sink and linen cabinet, as well as above the shower area, electrical changes, and appropriate added insulation. We now have a new vanity, sink, toilet, floor-to-ceiling ceramic tile shower, ceramic tile floor, new light and wall fixtures, and an all-glass Euro shower door/wall. (*Love* it, and no, it doesn't leak!) We have gone from an early 1960's blue-everything (sink/ toilet/ shower tiles), dark, icky, scuzzy bathroom to a light, bright, airy, visually-much-larger bathroom that makes me smile whenever I go in there. I absolutely *love* it; it's everything I had imagined and more. As I told my husband, it's actually my favorite room in the house!
