"Called Coelho Contracting first time on a Saturday morning. Even though the owners were in NY, they replied very quickly and had someone over to my apartment within an hour and a half. They gave an estimate of $100-200. Took less than an hour for them to clean and remove about six old patches, replace it with one fresh one, let it dry and test for residual leakage. Paid $150 total and was more than happy with the work done. Would use them again and will recommend to friends."

"During a heavy rainstorm, my roof leaked, the downspout in my light well failed, and the light well filled with 6 inches of water, eventually leaking into my house and soaking most of the three floors below. Anderson Roofing came out on the day of the storm in the rain and did emergency repairs that included a roof patch and a downspout replacement, and they cleared the drain in the light well. Less than a week later, an even heavier rainstorm hammered the roof but the roof patch held and my house stayed dry. It was an emergency and there was no time for estimates to be gathered and compared, so I don't know how they would compare cost-wise with other roofers for a similar job. I was given a range of $800-1300 for the job initially, and it was much closer to the lower end than the higher end once it was done. They roofers were very courteous, explained the work they did, and showed me the pictures of the work on the roof. I'd definitely call them again."

"I made first contact with the company in February and Jim Gitas was VERY informative and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and helped design and size a system that would work to get me to a net zero electric bill. The big challenge was a very large tree in the back yard that significantly reduced the viability of my south-facing (normally most productive) roof. Using shading data gathered on site, we ended up with a design that spread the 24 panels over 5 roof sections that would produce the most power possible. I believe that Jim Gitas is one of the most knowledgeable guys in the solar business in the bay area. I started on this journey after someone else came to my door and wanted to put all the panels on my south-facing roof that was shaded by the big tree. A friend who had gotten a ridiculous number of bids for his project recommended Jim. The system uses 24 SolarWorld 280-W Mono Black panels paired with 24 Enphase M250 micro-inverters and an Enphase Envoy Monitoring Module. With the monitoring module, I can see current and historical production data from a web browser. For the most part, everything went smoothly, but with two exceptions: 1) I lost contact with Jim for a few months before we got a contract worked out. He seemed to be a VERY busy guy and at one point he stopped answering my emails. After a visit to his office one day when I was in the area, things got back on track. I signed the contract on May 28 and the install was performed on July 23 and 24. 2) After final inspection, I went on the roof to check the install for myself and found my cedar shake roof had either cracked or missing shingles in about 6 or 8 places surrounding the installation sites. Customer support was very responsive, but after several attempts to get it right, it finally took me meeting the tech on the roof and pointing out all the places I thought needed repairs."

First was an inspection for a new home purchase, second was some minor repair work for damage brought up in said inspection, but where they really impressed me was in response to some emergency repair work. Their inspection and repair work came with a 1-year guarantee on the roof. When the heavy rain hit, either the roof was damaged or they had missed something; either way we had the roof leaking at 6 in the morning. They sent someone out that morning and he got it fixed perfectly. Everyone we've dealt with at the company was helpful and friendly. I'm only dinging them slightly in the responsiveness category because at one point I was getting some mixed messages on when the first round of repair work had been done - one division of the company didn't know what the other was doing, but that seems like a minor quibble in the face of what they did for us. We will definitely be giving them a call when it comes time to replace the roof."
