"Initially purchased a $49 Big Deal. He did come out promptly to look at it when he said he would, but he could not provide us with the service provided in the Big Deal at the price offered due to the age of the door. He did not have the proper weather stripping with him for our garage door. We did decide to go ahead and have the correct weather stripping installed at the standard price. While setting up the service, there were a couple of calls back and forth and it was a little difficult to communicate with him now that he wasn't doing the deal. However, he did call when he was on his way, even though it was late. He did install the weather stripping promptly. It looks like a good job. It would have been nice if there had been a disclaimer stating that the deal may not work for all garage doors depending on the age of the door.

"We had a great experience with J &amp; R.&nbsp; Jack, the owner, came out for the original sales call.&nbsp; He was right on time, very friendly, and he had a wealth of knowledge on various options for doors for us.&nbsp; The process went very smoothly with the office staff, and they kept us informed on the status of our door order and estimated installation date, which also turned out to be right on time.&nbsp; Working with the non-standard dimensions of an 88-year old garage, the installation required some extra thinking and work in order to achieve a working finished product with correct clearances in all directions, etc.&nbsp; Everything worked out great, and now 6 months after installation, we are still very happy with how it all turned out.&nbsp; The only glitch occurred when they were installing some of the finish, decorative hardware.&nbsp; One piece wasn't installed quite correctly.&nbsp; I called to inform them, and they immediately re-ordered a new piece and had it fixed right away.&nbsp; Again, we're very pleased with the work they did, and as a company, they were professional and extremely nice people to work with.&nbsp; I would highly recommend J &amp; R. <br />
