Darrin fixed an increasingly problematic front door mortise lock. Works swell now; it was a toughie. He also fixed two other outside door locks that had been iffy. Prior repairman who had installed the locks and doors didn't do a great job. Now we have working and locking doors. Spiffy. I thought the price was very reasonable. He was professional and knowledgeable. Will hire him again for any lock issues. I wish I had done this over a year ago instead of dreading it (afraid we would have to replace the locks or doors).

They spent 2-1/3 hours fixing the sliding glass door and sliding screen door. The repairs were done perfectly. These doors haven't operated this well since they were installed ~25 years ago. I kept having a water leak. They found the source in the second story of the house. I though it was a roofing problem so I had roofers come out. He had one of his o=men come out with a big ladder. He stood on the roof with the hose while I stood inside and the water came through. They detected the source and fixed everything. They were very meticulous, covered my awning and cleaned up afterward. When they did the final stucco work it blended in perfectly. I would definitely use them again without hesitation.

"Carlyle at Mr. Fixit Handyman was quick to respond to my request for an estimate and was able to come out the next day to look at the project first hand. I wanted to convert a bonus room into a fifth bedroom by adding a door, closet, and a short portion of non-weight-bearing wall. He required a little more than 50% payment up front and the rest upon completion of the job. He arranged the inspections with the city and his men came in to do the work. Unfortunately, we ran into a problem during the first inspection. There was an electrical panel on the wall where the new closet was built. This did not pass inspection, so Carlyle and his men shortened the closet so that the electrical panel would be outside of it. We split the cost of the additional work, and his men did a good job of quickly making the repairs before the final building inspection. Overall, the work was done professionally and on-time (the closet repair took an additional day). The price he charged was also reasonable and in-line with his initial estimate. I would definitely use his services again for any small construction projects that I need to complete in the future."
