After removing the existing tile there was, as you can imagine, a lot of torn up drywall. Drywaller did a great job of smoothing everything out so you can't tell there were any gouges at all. We did a number of home upgrades throughout our entire house which required much coordination in minimizing our disruption while leveraging service visits across several tasks. In addition, we needed work to be done so I could host Thanksgiving so there definitely was a drop dead date. This group shined. When you do a major remodel and choose to live in the house through it, many challenges arise. Our first day was demo-day. The path of plastic they built to minimize the dust was an architectural marvel. I felt like I was walking through a quarantine tunnel. Given they are in your house for several weeks, it was an incredibly professional crew. Friendly conversation, validating decisions, asking when new questions arise, working hard, and beautiful artistry of their skills were experienced each day. Changes in design were met with a can-do attitude (we decided to raise our shower head late in the game). When new options arose (new shelf in shower inset) they asked if we’d be interested. Scheduling was always coordinated with our need and one result was that we minimized our time out of the house when all of our hardwood floors were redone. This builder has exceptional relationships with cabinet makers, tile shops, and carpet and appliance stores which makes choosing options much easier. Because of those relationships we had top notch service in each store and all the help we needed in making the right choices. I can’t say enough about the positive experience and the process of this complex remodeling. Dan, Dave, Jesus, David, and Carlos, stop over anytime. I’m happy to make another pan of lasagna for lunch and catch up

Timelines were right on track, if there was a change in price everything was discussed before hand, if we wanted something changed it was changed. "Great. Jon managed the entire project and dealt with all the insurance back and forth. He made sure everything was completed and covered by insurance after i had had frustrating calls with them. The project was a big upheaval for my family entire main level of 4 Bedroom home had to be fixed, refinished and painted etc.... The good communication and timely progress eliminated much stress in our home. It was almost a pleasure seeing him and his crew each day for a few months, but much nicer once our home was back together again looking fantastic. He was extremely communicative throughout the project, and built confidence by being at my home (always Covid-19 safe) to personally ensure the materials, dumpster and crew were in place for the job. In addition, Ken VinZant came by to ensure the work was done to my satisfaction. Ken even replaced a gutter pipe, damaged during the job (so quickly, without fuss). Very impressive!

"We have been through a lot of contractors in building a recent addition, but these guys are the best we've seen. They were, without exception, courteous, punctual, helpful, friendly, and, most importantly, clever problem solvers. I am a stay-at-home mom and I always felt very comfortable and safe with them around. They really went the extra mile! When we started the project, which is an entryway and bathroom enlargement and a closet, someone else had been working for us. This someone else left a gigantic mess all over our front yard of dangerous torn-up lumber and glass. Color and Arches cleaned it up and for the rest of the project kept a tidy workplace. The someone else had done things how they wanted them to be done, rather than how we wanted it. Color and Arches listened carefully to what we wanted, made suggestions where appropriate, and followed through without needing any supervision. I especially recommend Vernon, Bill, and Pier for any general contracting type construction. The couple of subcontractors they sent in for specific jobs were also top-notch. We did encounter some problems/mistakes (to be expected in a long project), but these guys bent over backwards to fix them. I look forward to working with Color and Arches again on our next project!

"They sent people out to my house in the middle of the night who sucked up all the water in our basement and brought fans and dehumifier to clear it up. They also removed a monster ice dam from the roof. They were super sweet, professional and helpful and did a great job. It was more expensive than I was expecting which is the only thing that bothered me about the experience. I was so frustrated about the water that I didn't bother to ask enough about the cost.

"MC Squared Construction was hired to do the bulk of the work on a complete remodel of the lower level of my home. ?The work they completed included the demolition including the removal of part of a wall, installation of sheet rock, scraping and resurfacing the existing ceiling to match the new ceiling, installation of cabinets, plumbing work, venting the range hood, and installing the hood and dishwasher. The work included the remodel of the kitchen and a small powder room bathroom. After my original contractor fell through for installation of base trim and molding, I contacted MC Squared who completed the work in timely manner. My experience with MC Squared was very positive. I enjoyed working with Brian and Karla, the proprietors. I found them to be very nice people, honest, and professional. Communication was very good. They kept me informed on progress and issues so the surprises were minimized. The quality of the drywall work and cabinet installation was superb. Please see the attached before and after photos. I purchased fairly expensive cabinets and was very happy with the quality of the installation. As with all projects, unforeseen issues will come up. For instance, when the drywall came off the ceiling we found a joist was in the way of the designed location of the range hood. We also discovered a problem with the counter top design. The breakfast bar required supports that were not designed in, but standard supports would not work with the cabinets that were already installed underneath. Brian collaborated with the counter top contractor and the designer to find and install a solution that would work. I appreciate Brian's willingness and ability to solve problems and work with other contractors. I felt that their prices were very fair. Not cheap. But, you often get what you pay for. The project was executed well by MC Squared at a fair price. They were good people to work with. I would certainly use them for future projects.
