"I highly recommend Apex-based "A. Maynor Heating & A/C", who replaced my furnace and the entire central air conditioning system (outside condenser unit, inside evaporator coil, and new refrigerant lines) on 7-17-2020 at my Cary house. I also had them install the new outside condenser unit on the opposite side of the house (where it's in the shade, able to operate more effectively) compared to where the original condenser was (in the direct sun). All of their personnel were very competent, polite, prompt, and a pleasure to interact with, from Christy & Tammy in the office, to Carlos & Louis who performed the initial inspection & diagnosis of the original system that had failed, to Norm who performed the house "load calculation", recommended the appropriate new system, and who (since he's a licensed electrician) modified the wiring at the electrical panel as needed for the new condenser location, to Ramon & Christian who performed the new installation, and to Robert who performed the post-installation check and installed a new condensate pump.

"My first impression of Thermo Direct was very favorable for the following reasons: (1) the timely response (within minutes) to my online request to Duke Energy for a referral (the scheduler [Loretta?] is an interesting lady [personality] who obviously knows her job and gave me confidence that she would take good care of me (Thanks!), (2) the same day appointment for a diagnostic visit (and what I assumed would be a repair on the same day or the next day), and (3) the photos shown to me and emailed to me today by the very courteous, polite, very competent, and trustworthy Service Technician, Corey Woodward. What I did not realize was that parts had to be ordered and received and that a future appointment for repairs would be needed before my downstairs, that was totally without heat for more than a week, could be safe and functional for me, an elderly person. However, Corey Woodward and Anita, the scheduler, restored my confidence in and respect for Thermo Direct by their prompt, courteous , and apologetic responses to my need for emergency repairs today (the Friday following my first contact with this company). Those two employees saved that company from a negative review from me. Thank you. I am grateful and now warm. (smile) By the way, the photos submitted via email to me gave me my first view of my attic after I purchased my house in August 2007. Wow! Thanks for that photo, Corey Woodward. Thank you, Corey Woodward and Anita, also for letting me lecture both of you about communicating better with me and other customers about the unavoidable wait for parts and future repairs. "Out of a total of 5 HVAC companies that we had come and assess our system and provide quotes, Comfort First was FAR AND AWAY the most professional, and their pricing was VERY competitive. Roger was very thorough in his assessment. He looked throughout our home to check vent and window placement, and square footage to determine the best system for our home. He came with brochures and materials about Comfort First and sat down with us to discuss his recommendations and to tell us about Comfort First's company standards and policies. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we had with confidence and detail. The other 4 HVAC companies were very casual, performed cursory assessments, didn't spend more than a moment giving us their recommendation, and didn't display nearly the amount of knowledge we expected. "I asked Stanley Fogg to call my daughter to arrange a time to inspect her air-conditioner unit. He called her that day and arranged a time to meet very soon. As it turns out, the unit broke down just before Stanley got there. Even though it was Friday, Stanley said he would get a part on Saturday and come back and fix it, which he did. My daughter and grandchildren were very appreciative of having the air conditioning. I have asked Stanley to put us on regular annual maintenance for the air conditioner and for the gas heating system in the fall.
