  • JES Foundation Repair

"Howard Glancy came to inspect cracks in my home's concrete walls where the foundation was sinking. He, as a Certified Field Inspector, went over the whole house with me, explaining why the walls were cracking, and what should be done to alleviate the problem. Howard explained what JES Foundation would do, approximately how long it would take, and provided a quotation for the repairs. Besides raising the problem walls and ensuring they would be structural sound and guaranteed to stay that way for the remaining life of the house, he also advised me of how JES would repair minor cracks in the remaining building as well as having s sump pump installed to wick away any ground water from damaging any other parts of the structure. Mr. Glancy was very courteous; knowledgeable of his profession; and walked us through any questions we might have had concerning the processes. Due to the permit process taking so long, the work on the house won't start for a few months, and if Mr. Glancy is any indication of the professionalism of the rest of the JES Foundation personnel, I'm confident that the work will be done properly, in a timely manner and to my complete satisfaction."

"Robert was attentive and authentic. He delivered exactly what was discussed. The workers were cheerful, hard working and professional. Our new walkway and front steps look fabulous. We are very happy! We did three estimates; we chose Robert Construction because he was clear, knew what he was talking about and helpful. Great decision, highly recommend. "

  • Green Solutions, LLC

"They did excellent work but seemed overcommitted to other jobs. There were days when no one was working on the project so it took longer than anticipated. Maybe that is normal for renovations. They addressed any problems that came up promptly, so I would recommend them for similar jobs. "

  • L & E Contractor Services

"It was a pleasure hiring Mr. Estevez to remove a small partition wall separating our dining room from our living room. He did a great job with the removal, patching the hole on the adjoining wall, and painting over it. He was even gracious enough to paint the rest of the wall just to make sure everything matches. If you're looking for an all-around Handyman who is honest, affordable, and does excellent work, look no further than Mr. Estevez."

5.0 star review from Jerrydon V. in Manassas, VA

"Despite the fact they were very busy with larger jobs, and we had a very small walkway, they took great care of us.... the work looks amazing, the crew was super polite and professional, and once they started, worked fast! Very honorable, and helped us to stay within our budget....beyond superior for business ethics!"

Uses for Cement

Cement is one of the ingredients in concrete: "Concrete is a building material made from cement, aggregates (rock and sand), water, and admixtures." You can buy cement to make your own concrete, stucco, or mortar. Cement is rarely used by itself, but there are many places you might like to use concrete.

  • Building Foundations
  • Driveways
  • Sidewalks
  • Patios
  • Pool Decks
  • Floors

Concrete can be stained and stamped to look like brick, slate, or rock. There are a wide variety of colors to choose from: browns, reds, grays, and even purples. With such beautiful patterns and finishes, your patio or walkway can become a work of art. Meanwhile, polished concrete can also be used for the floors in your house or even your counter tops. Take a moment to do a search for cement companies near you who specialize in this type of concrete finishing, or have some cement or ready-mix concrete delivered and experiment with doing it yourself. There are several different types of concrete, so you'll want to choose the one that's right for your project:

  • Standard Concrete
  • Architectural and Decorative Concrete
  • Accelerated Set Concrete
  • Fiber-Reinforced Concrete
  • Pervious Concrete
