To clarify (I only have so many characters on the tweet) I’m more referring to when it is around behaviour issues, as if no one else has a responsibility. I love ‘my’ year group as the main one who oversees them, relates to them and their families, and helps to develop them.

One of my biggest bugbears is when someone refers to the year group as “your year group”. They’re not ‘mine’, they’re ‘ours’. We all have a collective responsibility to provide the very best for all our students. #PastoralThings #EduTwitter

My first ever whole-school project was planning a week of celebrating royalty throughout the world's history with each year group exploring a different era. Today, we shared that learning with the parents in an Art/History Exhibition. Feeling like a proud mum!

I remember listening to her read this poem and feeling so much emotion. Such a powerful poem and delivered with eloquence and power. Sad deeply moving. Sad sad times to see it on a banned list.
