Dallas Baseboard Installation

The crown moulding and trim looked great. There were a few very minor touch up areas I asked to be fixed. Sweeper King fixed them after I pointed them out. Overall, quality work.

The team at Personal Touch Contractors were extremely professional and had immaculate attention to detail. Every corner was mitered to perfection. When they left, everything was cleaned up and back in place. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs trim work done.

Kevin is always prompt in returning phone calls or email messages. He arrives on time for work and performs the agreed upon work in a timely manner. He is neat and cleans up the work area before leaving each day and at the completion of the job. Kevin and anyone that he has ever brought to our home has been courteous and polite.

We made contact by phone and discussed the areas to be painted. He helped me figure out how much paint was needed. He arrived on time. He was very neat and organized throughout the project. The deal was for 7 hours of work. I had three bedrooms, a small hallway and a game room to be painted. He did all needed prep work - smoothing out dings in the trim etc.. I did dust the baseboards and trim before he arrived. He didn't quite finish all the areas to be covered but said he would complete them when I scheduled him to come back and paint our bathroom cabinets this summer. His prices are very reasonable. He was a very pleasant and helpful person.

My wife and I highly recommend Chad. He knows his stuff and does a great job. When we were unsure on designs, he listened to our ideas and worked with us to ensure we would be happy with the result. He’s highly skilled, dependable, honest, and a great person. His prices are very reasonable and he sticks to what is agreed upon. It’s hard to find people like Chad these days.

Great communication from the very beginning. Handyman showed up on time, did what he had to do, and was very nice and friendly. Would definitely hire them again.

They recommended possible millworks to look at trim and stores for paint while on the phone in the initial consultation. This was the last bit to be done on my remodel! They showed up on time and got to work painting the baseboards with 2 coats of trim paint. They installed them with good cuts and did overall a really good job. I was impressed and would defiantly use them for future work. He accompanied me to home depot to grab some extra finish trim at no charge just to take care of the customer. Neil's customer service was top notch! They were a little rushed at the end because they were ready to go, but he made sure I was happy! After his guys put up all their equipment he made them take it all back out because I was not happy with one cut. I feel he went above and beyond. Thank you Lawton Construction!

I purchased the Big Deal for 8 hours of handyman service. The the first impression is always a lasting impression and Tracy made a lasting impression. Within 15 minutes of purchasing the Big Deal, Tracy called me to schedule time to come to my home - I was on another call, so he had to leave a voice mail. Once we spoke and I told him what I needed done (a room painted) he told me that he had men in the area and could start in a couple of hours. He said that he could not only start the job but likely finish it the same day. I was shocked and thrilled. Within a few hours from our discussion, Tracy and his crew were at my home. Since I didn't have time to go purchase paint, when Tracy came, he matched my paint and went to purchase it so the job could be started today. Jose, the lead painter, was wonderful! He introduced me to the crew to ensure I was comfortable and the crew did an amazing job. I spent more than I originally planned, but it was exactly what Tracy advised when we spoke and it was worth every penny. I will definitely use All Trade Pros again. I even spoke to Tracy about other remodeling projects. He will be sending me an estimate on future projects and I am looking forward to working with All Trade Pros on my next project.

We're beginning to do minor remodeling projects and we hired Cutting Edge to do the trim work. They hung beautiful crown moulding in my living & dining rooms. This wasn't regular standard crown. It was almost 7" and more difficult than average. The job came out so perfect that we already scheduled Cutting Edge to do crown upstairs in my family room and hallway. We have a number of carpentry projects coming up and plan to use Cutting Edge for all of them.

We purchased 2 "2 hour" packages to do the repairs. Overall quality and cleanup were good on the sheetrock repair as well as the door alignment (Door was rubbing and apparently the whole frame had to be adjusted). The trim repair on the baseboards were good and cut fairly well, a few of the trim nails could have used a bit more finishing to ensure they weren't sticking out a about 1/64", but that was just because I was looking. Overall good work.

We called Jimmy for an estimate for the work as a result of his reviews on Angie's list. From the very beginning he was courteous, attentive to our needs, and very responsive. His estimate was very reasonable, and we were confident after talking with Jimmy that who was sent to our house would be skilled at trim carpentry. We really appreciated the time that Jimmy took to find the trim to match what existed in our home. We were putting in new trim as a result of water damage in our home so it was important to find the right trim. Our house is 14 years old and the trim was decorative and larger. Kelly did the work and did an expert job. He was very meticulous and his attention to the detail was very reassuring. The trim work he had to do had a lot of angles and there was a lot of measuring involved. Work was done in the kitchen, area off of pantry and laundry room, long hallway, and small part of the dining room. He also had to do work around several rectangular columns. It was not a simple job. He also did an excellent job with painting and caulking. Kelly was friendly, efficient, and stayed on task. He was on time every day. We would highly recommend Artisan's Home Repair for your needs. It was obvious to us that is very important to Jimmy that any work that is done is high quality. He wants his customers to be happy. He would call periodically during the process to make sure everything was going well, and if we had any questions. He also called after the work was done to make sure things were done to our satisfaction, which they definitely were.

This was a two part job involving complete repainting of one room with lots of woodwork (trim, crown moulding, chair rail and a bookcase to be repainted). I also needed several return ducts closed off and painted and the paint removed and two vanity areas textured and repainted. David came in and finished the work on time and with professional results and care taken. The second paint job was much more involved with a large bedroom, hall and vanity area to be painted. This required the removal of two lanes of wall paper, repair of cracks in the walls texture and repainting. This room also has trim, crown moulding, chair rail and two built-in bookcases and a window seating area. David has done a great job despite some real troublesome wall paper and complex conditions to work around. This job should finish only a day off of schedule but with the level of complexity I am amazed he is able to complete as quickly as he promised. Will definitely have him back to do some other jobs in the future.

We first met Terry in late August 2016, and we liked him right away. He's knowledgeable and offered ideas that we appreciated. Initially, things went smoothly. We put down a deposit in mid-September, approved Terry's drawings on 10/3, and had our first round of cabinetry delivered on 10/31. So far, so good. Our first hiccup was indirectly related to Terry's work; he recommended a supplier for quartz countertops, and we trusted him on this. Unfortunately, we later found that supplier to be unresponsive, especially in terms of standing behind their work. That's a subject for another review! Given that our initial experience with cabinetry had been positive, we offered Terry additional work in the form of custom closets, a built-in fireplace mantle, and mouldings/casings for three rooms. He was also to paint several custom doors that we had made by a local manufacturer. We approved his proposal for the additional work on 11/17 and paid for all of the work sans painting (including certain work not yet completed, unfortunately) on 12/13. This is where our experience unraveled. First, a project that we thought would be complete by the holidays came to a grinding halt. We started having trouble reaching Terry, and then he would tell us that he had been sick and/or his guys were either sick or out. Some of that was understandable with the holidays approaching, but we started to see a pattern of excuses develop. For the next few months, we went back and forth. Among the items already paid for, Terry owed us 30 closet shelves, 6 closet rods, an access panel, all hardware related to those items, and 2 sets of lateral file hardware, along with numerous touch-ups. Terry eventually agreed to deliver the closet shelves and rods to us by 2/23/17, but they didn't arrive until 3/17 (and then only because we were ready to accept them unpainted). We never did receive the rods, access panel, or lateral file hardware. We had to adjust the door and drawer hardware on our own, and we learned that the cabinets weren't as cleanly-manufactured as we'd first thought. Doors vary in thickness, openings aren't square, etc. Painting and staining, however, was an area of special concern. When the initial delivery of cabinetry had been made, we saw that a number of touch-ups would be required, and Terry reassured us that these would be no big deal. But his crew had a very difficult time correcting these defects. Even after taking doors back to the shop to be 'completely redone', they would return with damage. On several occasions, I asked Terry if my painter should handle the work, as I was wanting to be fair with Terry and was thinking that he would be losing money. But he expressed confidence in his work and claimed that "it wasn't about the money". In the end, all that this did was cost us a great deal of time. The same was true of staining done to our office casing; this was to be color-matched to our new windows, but the guys were not able to achieve an even finish. In the end, there were so many runs and other defects in the paint and stain work that was performed by Terry's crew that we had to hire our own painter to correct them, where possible, as well as to finish the shelves and other parts. We spent over $5,000 to have another contractor complete the repairs and touch-ups, as well as for us to source, purchase and/or fabricate hardware, e.g. custom closet rods, custom lateral file bars, etc. (not counting our time to do so). The result looks very good, but it was time-consuming and very costly. We believe we were as patient and polite with Terry as we could be throughout this process. When we kicked off this project, we really thought he would be "our cabinet guy" from that point forward. Sadly, that wasn't meant to be, and we found ourselves empathizing with this BBB complainant: [*** Link removed ***] We ultimately reached out to Terry one last time, on 3/23/17, offering him the opportunity to deliver what we had paid for back in December, but we never heard from him again.

He does very precise and tight-fitting trim work and cabinet as well as door hanging and I will definitely use him again in the future. We had some minor issues about things he forgot to do, but since his work schedule required that he return several times, it got taken care of, except that he did not find a way to hook up my vent-a-hood to the existing duct, but it was supposed to have been a part of the job. I did not withhold money and paid him in full because of the other quality of his workmanship, and at the tail end, he forgot to just temporarily screw into place the vent-a-hood cover until I can find somebody to do that job. I had another problem which several carpenters did not want to deal with, but he found a great solution to trimming out my living room large opening which was 1/2 inch off on one side, and now looks wonderful. Aubrey ALWAYS showed up when he said he would, returned phone calls and was responsive to fixing a whole host of problems my prior contractor had caused.CALL HIM BEFORE YOU CALL ANOTHER CARPENTER, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Excellent. Paul and his team were extremely professional and capable. They were also flexible and accommodated changed mid-project. Finally, they completed the project right on schedule despite a tight timeline.
