They had a lot of good Angie's List reviews. The process was pretty simple,, we went to their showroom, we looked through their selection. Somebody helped us, and we looked at a remnant section and we were able to find a good, affordable piece of quartz and they came in and installed it within a week. They had a plumber come out and mount the sink and fixtures so we didn't have to look for a plumber separately.

The installers were very professional and polite and did a good job of installing the granite countertops. Most of the work was done very well, except for one seam on one part of the countertop, that was not cut correctly at the shop and did not flow well at all with the rest of the granite countertop. Another piece of granite had to be cut at the shop and that part of the countertop had to be torn out and replaced. The finished product is still not to our greatest satisfaction, especially since we paid so much for the slabs of granite, but we have settled for it.

Pleased with the final results! Although one countertop was too big, Heritage pulled it and replaced it with another the next day. They arranged for a licensed plumber to install fixtures and connect the sinks.

I contacted 3 different contractors to replace the outdated countertops in a house we had just purchased. Based on Angies recomendations, Artisian Granite countertops was one of the companies that I contacted. They were the low bidders, but you sure couldn't tell by the finished product! Steve held our hand through the entire project and the finished product is better then I expected. Thanks Steve, you did good!!

From the very beginning we were comfortable with Steve and Valerie. Steve did everything he said he would do, when he said it would be done! The quote arrived on time, he met us at the granite warehouse, helped us pick out what we wanted; met us at the tile warehouse, helped us with that; he was at our house for every step of the installation. He was always available either by email or phone to answer our questions. The plumber, Brian, was here when promised and did a flawless job installing the new faucet on our FREE sink, and reconnecting our gas cooktop. The tile installer, John, did an excellent job, was here when promised and a perfectionist. I was very impressed with the whole process. At the end of each day, the area was totally cleaned up! Steve and Valerie came to our house on a Sunday afternoon to seal the granite before the tile was installed. Steve really cares about each job and that is what really impressed us! He was great to work with!

I'm very pleased with the work they did. From the start, when the owner came to our house with samples for us to see it was a good experience. We picked out what we wanted and then later in the week met him at the stone place to pick out our slabs. While there we met the person who would install our new backsplash and we got to pick out the stone that would be used for that. On the day of installation of the granite countertop they were prompt and did the job of removing the old countertop and installing the new one with no problems. The next day the tile man came and installed the tile backsplash. It took all day. He was meticulous and determined that it looked good when he was done. We're very pleased with the results. I have recommended them to coworkers and friends who were or are planning the same type of work.

Price was just phenomenal for what they did compared to the other quotes I got. Quality of work was excellent. Granite on the island was a little bit off from the other granite. They noticed the problem, notified me of the difference, I requested to have it changed and the did it at no additional cost. I couldn't ask for a better deal. The price came out to be about $36 a square foot while other companies were quoting me for the same job around $11,000. I would definetly recommend them and hope to never need them again!

removed existing countertops and splash guards. replaced them with granite and walls with tiles (mosaics). installed countertop stove (our purchase) and installed Blanco sinks and faucet (our purchase). Amazing work, no problems, responded to calls immediately. would use again for bathrooms. Their price was literally thousands below other people who quoted. And their producuct is not plasticized stone.

STONE AGE COUNTER TOPS
2.0
Stone Age was recommended to us and at the beginning we thought that we would go with them. The communication was not always smooth during the process, and we became so frustrated that we got other three bids to see if we could find someone other than Stone Age to replace our granite countertops. As it turned out, Stone Age was the cheapest by a lot. That is the only reason that we decided to go with them. Our new granite is beautiful and we are very pleased with the result. On the positive side, our installer Abraham was wonderful and the key to the success of the project. Not only is he a nice person, he approached our kitchen as if it was his own. He was very conscientious and cared about doing a great job. We were very pleased with him. It's too bad that other people in the company do not have the same work ethic as he. At the end of the day, however, I am not able to overlook a lack of professionalism. Communication with Denise was poor throughout which made us feel as if we were not important. A light fixture was broken during installation and no offer was made to replace it. A wall was gashed that we had to repair ourselves. A sink was installed backwards (!) so it had to be taken out and re-installed. The drain was not installed correctly so the sink did not retain water. The water lines were not cleared of debris after the new faucets were installed so that first usage resulted in a white film on our dishes. What really irritates me is the way we were treated after we fulfilled our contractual obligation and paid in full on the day the granite was installed. I asked that the drain stopper be installed correctly and that the sink be resealed to countertop. The plumber who showed up gave every reason under the sun why he could not do the job instead of just doing the job. When I asked for old silicone to be removed before new silicone applied, he refused and left the house in a huff. I had been told by Denise that he would do the drain stopped and apply new silicone. I complained to Denise that he did not do his job and her reaction was to stop communication. She apparently got ****** because I complained about her plumber who refused to do his job. I asked for an re-appointment for the silicone to be applied to the sink. Denise never answered. I then asked her to send a picture of the silicone product so we could buy and finish the job by ourselves. She ignored me and never answered. Thus, technically, thanks to Denise, the job was never finished even though Stone Age was paid. If this is the way you think customers should be treated, this is the company for you. We still have our master bath to re-do but I would not consider using Stone Age again, despite the fact that Abraham does good work.

Recent Review: Except for discovering corroded piping in one bathroom and taking a day to get it replaced, the job went well and quickly. Both bathrooms were completed with two weeks. At the end of each day, the workers cleaned up and left the house and yard in good shape. Each morning they arrived on time and worked hard all day. We felt safe with them in the house, even leaving them alone a few times. It all began with the estimate that Mary provided, which was the middle range of three we received. She estimated it would be seven weeks before they could start but it was only four weeks. They worked on one bathroom at a time so we would always have one to use. They stored the materials on the back porch and covered door openings with drop cloth so the dust would not go into our rooms. My wife changed what she wanted done twice and they accommodated her. It did add some to the cost but she is happy. All the people associated with New Bath were friendly, courteous, answered our questions, and knew what they were doing.

Recent Review: It took four days, as it was a relatively small job, and coordinating all the crews, for each of the steps, couldn't have been easy. I have to compliment all the company's people: Sales Rep Ian McIntosh, Interior Designer Jo Gifford, and Project Manager John Griggs, who were very professional, and communicated very well. The first day, a crew came in, demo'ed the original countertops, pulled out the compactor, and fixed the flooring. As a lagniappe, John had them help me out by repairing my bathroom door. The second day, the cabinet maker delivered, and installed the new cabinet, and also replaced the toe kick throughout. Day 3, the tradesman arrived, and installed the new laminate countertops, and John delivered the new sink & faucet. The last day, the plumber came in, and installed the sink & faucet, and re-connected the garbage disposal and dishwasher. He even ran the dishwasher, to make sure it was set up correctly. The tradesman all did very good work, very professionally. Overall, I am very happy with this job, and would definitely recommend DFW Improved, to anyone.

Recent Review: We were very pleased with the excellent service provided by Simmons. They took their time to help us select the granite color and tile for the backsplash, and even encouraged us to take tile and granite samples home so we could see how they would look in our own kitchen. We were less pleased with the installation process of the countertops. Simmons contracts this out to a company in Dallas called StoneTex, which appeared to be in disarray. I have never heard so many excuses in my life. It started with no-one being there when we arrived for our appointment on a Saturday morning to choose our slab ("stuck in traffic"), so we had to wait half an hour in a desolate industrial parking lot. Then the crew that did the initial install showed up late ("oil leak in van", which turned out to be true since our driveway was covered in a pool of oil after they left) and had not received proper instructions, so they cut and installed the bar top the wrong way, and were in a rush to leave to take care of their oil leak, instead of taking time to make sure everything looked good. Larry, our Simmons contact, forced StoneTex to clean up the oil mess in our driveway, which to their credit was done promptly. However, after this it took three weeks until they had new granite to replace the bar top, and another week until they had a crew available. Then to think that we had hired Simmons for our countertops, instead of Lowe's who had done our cabinets, because Simmons promised to install within 10 days after templating! While we were waiting, Simmons' owner replaced Larry with Siegfried, but unfortunately we were informed of this change before Larry was, so that I was in the uncomfortable position of having to tell Larry to check in with the office when he called me later that day. But the change did seem to work miracles, as after Siegfried took over everything started going more smoothly. The crew that came to replace our bar top was also late ("truck broke down"), but Siegfried informed StoneTex that this was not acceptable, and indeed they had a different crew here very close to the scheduled time. This crew did not have the granite with them, but they were able to take care of several small things (polish an ugly scratch, caulk gaps between countertop and oven cabinet, and take careful measurements for the bar top). This crew was outstanding, and Siegfried (with Simmons, recall) stayed here the whole time to supervise them personally. Another guy came later that morning with the stone, and this time they installed it correctly. On Siegfried's insistence, StoneTex had even made us a granite cutting board for the inconvenience (value $150) at no charge. After this we were ready to move on to the next stage. Siegfried had already lined up Martin, Simmons' tile guy, who came two days later. Martin's men did a fantastic job, nearly finishing the entire backsplash in a single day. Good thing too that Siegfried had measured again and noticed that Larry had not ordered enough tile. Simmons did not charge us for the extra tiles, which arrived in time for the installation. We were very pleased with our new backsplash, and with the countertops. But there was one more thing to take care of: the tile grout had somehow left ugly black marks on our countertop, which stood out even though our granite is black pearl. Siegfried came over and rubbed it vigorously with granite cleaner, and got most of it out, but he said Jason (with StoneTex) would come take a look and tell us how to take off the rest of it. After not hearing from Jason for several days, I called Siegfried again and Jason called me later that day to set up an appointment for the next morning. Next morning, Jason called saying he had food poisoning, which might be true since he sounded sick. He did not call us again the next two days, but fortunately, we could remove the last black spots ourselves with some effort. Overall, Simmons really took care of us. We now have a beautiful kitchen, though it took longer than it should have. Siegfried made sure that we were completely satisfied before collecting the balance. The price was competitive with other countertop companies in the area. But if Simmons wants to stay in the countertop business, based on our experience, I would advise them to switch granite companies. I think it would have been a nightmare to deal with StoneTex directly, and the only reason things moved along at all was because Simmons provides this company with a lot of business.

Recent Review: Bob resurfaced my tub and countertops in 2 bathrooms to look like granite. He did a fabulous job. I had this done in preparation for selling my house. The only I can say is that I should have had this done years ago. The difference in the look of my bathrooms is almost indescribable. He was on time and very responsive. He was respectful of my home and cleaned up after himself. I would recommend him to anyone if they want an economical way to change/update the look of their bathrooms!

Recent Review: Granite Zone (out of Lewisville) did a great job. I took care of the kitchen sink plumbing and the oventop gas. They don't do that type of work due to liability, which I understand. Their full price in this review included tax. We were actually looking at quartz as our first priority over granite, and their quartz install cost was in line with three other fabricators. However their cost for this granite install was much lower than anyone else. I would do them again in a heartbeat!

As design progressed I added additional features which Terry incorporated in his 3-D CAD tool to email me a rendering to make a final decision. The result was beautiful, functional, on schedule, and on budget. Don’t settle for on-line stackable units, Terry can give you customized cabinets for a comparable price.

Recent Review: We used Floors 4 Less after going through a flood in our home. Not only did they help us replace all of our floors on our entire downstairs but also our baseboard trim, our counter tops and our back splash. The amount of assistance with not only our floors but with several aspects of our rebuild allowed us to not have to hire a GC to rebuild and saved us so much money! We actually did contact a GC at first but he informed us he could not even match the pricing on the engineered hardwoods so we ended up only using Floors 4 Less and one other vendor to do the entire downstairs rebuild, over 2,000 sq ft. I can't say enough about the help and the great customer service. If not for Eyhab at Floors 4 Less I know I would have paid much more and not received half as much as I did for my money. He was not only a great asset in our rebuild he had himself been through a flood and was able to give us invaluable advice with dealing with our home owners insurance on our claim. I literally can't say enough good things about our experience and I'm a pretty picky customer.

Recent Review: Excellent. Arrived on time. Cleaned up. So let me say what a wonderful company (and owners and associates) they are. They arrived last week to measure, was shown samples and picture of actual top selected. The price is unbeatable. Approximately 60% less than I was paying at another store. They even included a free stainless sink. Less than a week later the installers arrived and in a few hrs removed my countertop and sink, installed a new one, cleaned up and....the owners personally followed up to ensure customer satisfaction. When I need flooring installed You are my first choice. Again, thank you for everything.

Recent Review: We contacted Galaxy Building in early August to remodel our master bath after we had a slab leak repaired. We had a small 36x36" square shower that was transformed into a huge 60" x 48" shower with a bench seat surrounded by frameless glass. Twelve by twenty four inch tiles surrounds both the shower and walk in tub. The walk in tub replaced a huge whirlpool tub that didn't have any grab bars. As we grow older such things become very relevant. The walk in tub is equipped with hydro jets and air jets. It also has an inline heater so the water doesn't get cold. I love that tub. It is much smaller than the tube it replaced making room for the shower. They installed custom maple cabinets stained a beautiful golden pecan. These are real wood cabinets, not that compressed wood product with wood fronts. A new matching medicine cabinet housing an electrical outlet was installed on the countertop. A new light was added over the walk in tub, popcorn ceiling was removed and painted, walls were painted after removing 25 year old wallpaper, including the water closet. The existing mirror was used to provide two framed mirrors on each side of the medicine cabinet over the two sinks. Barn doors replaced double doors entering the room saving space in the bedroom. I wish I'd had a little more guidance on the barn doors, but they turned out very nicely. Through it all, Johnah was in touch so much that I began to think he had moved in with us. He kept us posted every step of the way. Thank you, Johnah. If something wasn't quite right or to our satisfaction, he made sure it was corrected. There was only one snag which was the frameless shower surround. It had to be cut again because of minor changes to granite thickness. Galaxy Building is a great choice for a bathroom remodel. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else if I needed more of this type of work done.

What do customers in Dallas say about Concrete Countertop Installation?

I wanted to replace my 1977 kitchen countertops and I wanted to install Corian countertops. I found Classic Countertops and was very glad I did. I met with Dianne Walker who explained the Corian product to me and showed me 100+ colors and patterns to choose from. I also met with Brent Jones and he was very helpful, too. I was not rushed in any way. They gave me two large samples to take home. Brent came out a took the measurements. About 10 days later the Corian countertops were installed and they look great. The install guys were fascinating to watch. These Corian countertops completely changed the look of my kitchen and I have received many compliments about the new look of my kitchen. If you are looking for Corian products, I highly recommend Classic Countertops. These folks are courteous and professional and you will find the entire staff enjoyable to work with.
