Communication went silent. Provider did not follow through with work or contact.

While the wood rot was repaired, the wood used to replace the rot does not match the rest of the windows and is not at all aesthetically pleasing (spouse is quite unhappy). In the process, they broke one of the windows with their ladder. Aaron, the owner, said he would fix it and make it right. Despite no less than 10 calls or texts over the following 8 months, they never did fix the window, though they did come out ONE time to look at and measure the window. During their initial visit we did contract with them for some other minor repairs, mostly electrical, which they did well and for a fair price.

After initial contact and scheduling vendor did not respond to repeated efforts to contact by telephone and email.

Provider coordinated to meet up to preview the project, provided a timeline and quote for full job. Never showed up on the agreed upon date, never answered emails through Angie's List, never responded to texts from the number we used to coordinate meeting up to preview the project, completely bailed (and I guess took the money with them), I had to work with Angie's List for reimbursement/replacement for the services. TERRIBLE experience. Would never use this company or anyone associated with them. not trustworthy at all.

We hired AKRC to repair our fence for the Angie's list deal of $149. They returned my call promptly and showed up on time. They only replaced a couple of boards but I did discuss with them the fact that my gates wouldn't close. They offered to apply the cost of the deal to replacing my two gates which I thought was very fair. I realized later that we probably could have just removed the planks on the back of the gates, reinforced them with a cross bar, then put back on the planks. I wasn't pleased with the distribution of the planks on the gates (admittedly I am very picky). Because I couldn't be home when they came to review the work with them, they did have to come out twice. I could tell the women who took my call wasn't very happy about it but they did come out to fix it. I still feel it could have been done with a few extra touches but all in all I was pleased and feel I got good customer service and fair value for what I paid.

Very professional. It did take a few calls to get them, and then they didn't arrive the day the scheduled.

This purchase that we made was not a very satisfactory purchase. My wife filed a complaint about that. They sent a couple of emails that weren't as professional as how Angie's list has graded them over and how they were going to progress in the follow through and do whatever we needed them to do and what they were going to get paid for that. There had been a series of emails between my wife and their correspondent about how to nail down the time but there was not any follow through. They did not show up and there were no services rendered. We got a refund from Angie's list for this purchase.

Because of conflicts with my schedule, I was unable to get services immediately after purchase. I was promised a call back which never came. I again contacted AKRC and was promised a time on a Friday one week away. No one showed up. I texted the contractor to attempt a third date and time. I received a reply, but again, no firm commitment. I had the door installed by another contractor. I would hope the Angie’s List would do better in screening their recommended contractors.

I bought this service last year and have spent months trying to get something scheduled with them. The owner initially came out to assess my project back on January 31, 2015. I had to chase him down weeks later to get an estimate after he left here and finally got the an answer on February 16, 2015. We agreed on the morning of Feb 18 that he would be coming on Feb 19 (following morning) ready to work. I spent the entire day cleaning up and preparing area for his arrival, including taking the day off work. He doesn't show up, doesn't call, doesn't respond to my messages, and still NOTHING. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY SERVICE. COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE.

Twice the appointment was scheduled but they did not show up on both occassions. Wondering how to get by payment back / refund.

Sent three men--did a good job painting and edging--did a good job of cleaning up before they left--all I had to do was clean up a small paint smudge or two after they left. I'd use then again.

I purchased a deal with them, and they contacted me through Angie's List. I asked them some questions, which they responded to by messaging me again, but then they never followed up with me again to set an appointment. No more messages, and no calls. I had Angie's List reach out to them as well, but they were still unresponsive.

I purchased the deal in April - attempted to schedule right away. Provider did not respond. Had business/travel obligations. Tried to schedule again - and on the day they were finally supposed to show up, they phoned right at the appointment time (I was on work phone) left a message that it was 'poring rain' and could not come. It was not poring rain - at least where I was, and I had other workers at the house that day. Attempted to reschedule 2x more. Last attempt on 11/21/14 did not even get a response. Very disappointing to pay $149 for work that was never completed.

Other than a few drops of paint on the floor, the painters did a good job and worked efficiently.

Reviews got worse and I was uncomfortable with this deal.

Highly unreliable, never showed up after 3 attempts

I had an appointment scheduled for today. They didn't show up. I called and sent an email and they never contacted me.

Failed to show on three occasions. Had to be called several times before responding. Left without finishing the work. Left me a mess to clean up.

I had numerous problems with AKRC Home Improvement as far as scheduling and getting the service taken care of. They never called back when they said they would, I told them what I needed done and just never heard anything back from them. After looking at some of the more recent reviews since I purchased the deal, I have decided that even if I could get the service done that I do not want to work with this provider any longer.

Two workers showed up on 09/26/14 to access what needed to be done but they did not have a tool that was required (a router) to perform the job at that time. We then scheduled a 2nd appointment for 10/07/2014. They were to bring the materials required for the job (lumber and tools) and I was to re-reimburse them for the lumber. It was estimated at $60. The worker/s did not show on 10/07/2014 and after repeated voice mails to them on the telephone number provided they did not return the calls. At this point - I would like my $200.00 be-reimbursed right away. I will not use this service now as I do not have faith in them

Upon further review of the company's review information, I decided not to use them.

All I wanted was a ceiling painted. Purchased the $199 "big deal" on June 2. Scheduled service for June 16. They requested a reschedule on June 15. I agreed, and we rescheduled for June 20. They called me that day, which I had already taken off, and asked to reschedule again. I told them I could not. They agreed to come in the afternoon and get the job done. They never showed, never called, never wrote, nothing. After almost two months of AKRC's failing to even attempt to make an excuse or reschedule, I demanded a refund of my $199.00. Two months later, I still have no refund and this entity has made no attempt to contact me or refund my money.

I am beginning to lose faith in agnies list. they did not respond to my complaints either. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have made several appointments and the provider has missed them.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HIRE THESE PEOPLE. I purchased a $200 coupon for fence maintenance on July 14, 2014. I received a response the next day saying they were booked solid for the next 2 weeks but that they would be in touch soon to schedule an appointment. I never heard back, so I had to call them instead. They were unable to schedule anything until late August, when I would be out of the country, so we set up an appointment for September 10. On that day, I skipped work so I could be there, but they never showed up and never called. When I called them, they said that they had forgotten to mark the appointment on their calendar, but they agreed to come back out the next day. They never showed up then either, and I missed another day of work because of them. Since then, I have left multiple messages and they have not called me back, and of course, I'm out $200.
