    I was really happy to find them since they could make the repair using original methods. Irish removed the loose and broken pieces and applied a new layer on the front and back of the house that has a nice look that will match the sides. I appreciate that they also made minor repairs along the side of the house instead of totally reworking it. Helps keep costs down. They brought out a crew of five people and they hustle.     I have a 100+ year old house and discovered that the chimney--which ran through the center of the house, was leaning, putting stress on the rafters and the overall structural integrity of the house. If nothing was done, then eventually the chimney would collapse with terrible consequences. Because the repair was extremely difficult it seemed impossible to find a company that was even willing to come out and look at the problem firsthand. Anthony Monaghan, owner/director of Irish Construction, was the only one who had the courage, and confidence in his team of workers, to make an assessment, explain exactly what could be done and how, and provide a bid. I offered him the job and he came out with his crew the following Monday. The job turned out to be even more complicated than anticipated, and additional materials were required. Yet Anthony did not add those expenses to the price he bid. His foremost concerns throughout the process were the long-term safety of the homeowner by stabilizing the chimney, and the safety of his workers during the repair process. Would I recommend Irish Construction? Absolutely

    Joe and his team are fabulous! I would hire them again without hesitation. They rebuilt and tuck pointed 3 chimneys for us and tuck pointed our garage. Throughout the job, Joe communicated regularly and sent detailed pictures and videos of the areas they repaired. All the work they did looks great and is holding up great through all our bad weather. Could not make a stronger recommendation

    The project could not have been better… Al, his people and subs do exceptional work and are terrific to work with. I’ve used several contractors over the years and Birkenmeier & Sons are clearly the best. The finish carpentry is amazing. Al kept us informed throughout the project, was very reliable to come work when promised, vacuumed at the end of each day, had useful suggestions, and completed the work in a timely way. I can’t say enough about the quality work and expertise they provide, as well as the customer service… the communication, friendliness, and responsiveness couldn’t have been better. Al will be my first call the next time I need work done

    Steve and his team are great. They start on the day they say they will and complete on time and budget. He is a master at matching mortar colors. My 130 year old house was repaired by him and he was able to exactly match all the colors. I’m sure there are cheaper in the world, but I feel confident you will not find a better value than this company
