Please review the AWB guide before making a request. Users with under 250 non-automated mainspace edits or 500 total mainspace edits are rarely approved. You can check your non-automated contributions on XTools. Administrators are automatically approved and do not need to request access. For bots, please consult the Bot Approvals Group or bureaucrats' noticeboard about adding AWB access.
This page is for requesting AWB Access for English Wikipedia only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.

Hey there! I am requesting permissions for the AWB because I have many "repetitive edits" that I do (mostly shortdesc changes) and I enjoy doing that type of editing and I would appreciate it very much if I were given it in order to do those shortdesc changes with more efficiency. I am a new user of Wikipedia and do not have many edits, yes I know this, and this is because I use Wikipedia whilst I am finishing my schooling. This makes it difficult for me to contribute more than a few edits per day, and sometimes no edits per day, however, in my attempts to make Wikipedia a better place, AWB will help me to achieve that. I have made mistakes on Wikipedia before, but now I am ready to become serious with my editing to make Wikipedia better, and I would like permission to use AWB in order to do this. To whoever reads this, you may be hesitant to give me such permission, but I swear to you that I will not use this tool for anything but positive outcomes, and if I use it to destroy and/or vandalize Wikipedia, then please, ban this account, future account creations, and my IP. If I gain permission for this tool I will strive to make Wikipedia a better place and experience for everyone. Thank you for your consideration and for reading this request.
