Classic Widgets

Does exactly what it's supposed to: Restores the previous (“classic”) WordPress widgets settings screens. Exactly what I needed!

I spent half an hour trying to figure out what broke the display before I figured out it was _intended_ to look broken. At least I can install another plugin to unbreak Wordpress.

I really appreciate this plugin. I didn't know it existed until today, and wow, so happy. I despise the block editor, so finding this plugin has made my life easier. To the creators, you rock!

Updated Wordpress today and suddenly when trying to update a widget I was presented with blocks... NOOOOOOO. Not again. Well, looks like I may have to install another plugin to make it go away. I tried giving block widgets a go and it was just as bad as the block editor, which I've literally never used longer than about an hour when testing out. Super counterintuitive and totally destroys my typical workflow. Adds 10 extra steps and a buggy experience to the mix. Hate to say it but Wordpress, as much as they try to make it better, is not doing a very good job as of late. Classic widgets and post editor should always be an option, even 10 years from now. Not everyone wants "blocks" or needs blocks. If you're writing a post, you're writing a post. Messing with and writing in blocks is a blockhead move, period.
