Untitled[edit]

This article is full of mistakes. It links to websites within the article and not to other Wikipedia articles. Where is the page with the old librarians? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Freewifi (talkcontribs) 16:55, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Librarians list added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.61.220.3 (talk) 13:21, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The history section is unclear regarding the funding to establish the library, it states that the government pledged money in its budget in 1905 to establish the library, but then it says Sir John Williams donated £20,000 to establish the library (was this in addition to the government funding or instead of - did the government funding materialise?) and later again it says the funding was by public subscription of the working classes (what proportion of the total was from subscriptions?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.172.176.71 (talk) 20:28, 15 March 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

On the contrary, the section makes clear the multi-source and complex nature of the project's funding, and provides sourcing for the detailed exposition which it is not Wikipedia's role to provide. Bjenks (talk) 00:16, 16 March 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Fire in the library[edit]

Have added information on the fire to the top of the article. Have also added 'current related' tag while events are ongoing. Suggest that when fire ends, and the situation is clarified, that the information be moved to a subsection under 'history and buildings.' ~CortalUXTalk? 14:39, 26 April 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Expansion[edit]

Great job on the expansion. Definitely B class now. I've reassessed it as such. Try to avoid bullet points as much as possible and put in prose. The history could still use some work. I think this could be brought up to WP:GA status relatively easily now.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:24, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
