Came out and immediately wanted to see my hot water tank and I said that all I needed was the gas line t off for a gas stove to replace an electric one. He still wanted to see hot water tank and tried to tell me the expansion tank was bad and it is not. Came out with the intent to try and sell me all the other things that I did not need. Very arrogant and his price is 3 times higher than everyone else. They are like the shady sunglass wearing used car salesmen you see in the movies!!! Will never ever consider them again as they are very shifty and not honest!!!!!!

Extremely good work, highest quality. On time and well-done. But $1,050 for 3.5 to 4 hours' work seems to me to be expensive. Only materials used were about 20 feet of black pipe, some elbows, and two-cut-offs.

I had a Jekyl-Hyde experience with this firm. When I spoke with the office, it seemed well-organized and on top of things, very professional. Their policy is to telephone clients to let them know when they are within 30 minutes of arriving at their homes. Sounds like a great policy. However, on both visits to my home, after I received ''the call'', the workman or workmen, did not arrive for another hour and a half! The first visit was to give an estimate, however, the written estimate was not itemized. I had no way of telling from the estimate, what specifically would be done. I was told verbally by the workman and had assumed that would all be written as part of the estimate. Even the discount for first time customers from Angie's List was included in the one-line estimate. As far as the actual gas line that was installed is concerned, it has not been put to the test yet. The rest of the room is not ready, but soon will be. I suppose we shall know at that point, if all is well. I meant to come back and add to my earlier comments and just never got around to doing so. The gas line that was installed was indeed installed correctly and was connected easily by gas range installer. It worked perfectly the first time it was tried out.

These guys are absolutely 1st Class!! I can't say enough about how pleased we been with their work. We chosen them for 3 different jobs and been extremely impressed with their professionalism, the courtesy, promptness, how they communicate clearly and fully. We've had them remove & install an entire HVAC system, remove & install water heater, install new bathroom plumbing for a remodel, and even install a gas line for our new kitchen. They're great!! The prices are not the cheapest but they are Not the most expensive either. You get your monies worth. I'm 63 yrs old , this is the 8th home we've purchased so we've had years of dealing with contractors & service people/companies. I also had my own home repair & remodeling business for 7 yrs. When I tell you I've seldom done business, as a home owner or contractor, with many companies like Casteel, you can 'take it to the bank'! Seriously! And, 'NO', I don't work for them and they didn't pay me to write this review. (I seldom ever write reviews).

Sundial Plumbing
Sundial was professional, courteous, and very clean. The worker who was originally scheduled to do the work was pulled away to another job, so he personally introduced his replacement to me at the start of the job. The worker covered his shoes each time he entered the house and removed them each time he left. He worked efficiently, and the price was less than half of that of another plumbing company that is very well advertised in the area.

The Rinnai tankless heater was installed and works amazing. This is a three bedroom house and you can easily run the dishwasher, take a shower, and run the clothes washer with no problems. Dealer made sure that the proper gas line size was used to provide gas to the heater. Many negative reviews on tankless heaters are due to the unit not having the proper side gas pipe to it based on the distance to the meter. Work was very reasonable and after 2+ years I am happy with this purchase.

Unreliable company resulting in expensive construction delays. Scheduled an appointment with owner Chris Damiano – and then he never showed up. Rescheduled and then he did not show up again - or respond to numerous telephone calls, voicemails and emails. When he replied by email he said he'd show up - the following day in the morning to which we responded that the ceiling contractor and carpenter were onsite already and waiting. NO RESPONSE back via email or phone. We had purchased the new bathroom shower kit, vanity and faucets to be installed which were waiting onsite. Such a disappointment and customer unfriendly service. Don't use if you want the job done on time - or your calls returned.

I rarely post reviews but this one deserves it. This was my first time using their services. Very professional and honest. Guided me that I don’t need that gas line moved and my oven will fit in perfectly fine. He did a measurement for me too. Did not even charge me. My problem got resolved as I followed his directions. He could have easily done it and charged me for it. This type of service wins it for me anytime!! We need people and companies like these this day and age. Excellent customer services and felt very comfortable.

The event: Came later the same afternoon after being requested. Assessed the project, determined he didn't have the parts on the truck to do the job correctly, and that it was too late (3;30pm) to get the parts and get back to get the job done. We agreed to have the project done the following morning. After having trouble getting all of the parts on such short notice, he came back the following day, went right to work, and finished about 2 hours later. PROS: Was extremely pleasant throughout the encounter, and was a pleasure to work with. Did a really nice and neat job. CONS: Price as quoted ($2370 for 15 feet of 1" gas line in a fully exposed drop ceiling) was much higher than I thought was a fair price, but I really didn't have the time to shop further to resolve the urgent situation.

We just bought a new house and wanted to have a gas line plumbed to accommodate my gas dryer. The first time they were scheduled to come out for an estimate, they had to rescheduled at the last minute because they were running late. We did have to pay a $35.00 estimate fee when they came out the next day. Most of the other plumbers, we called for an estimate, gave free estimates. We felt the price was a little steep since we already had gas in the house. The reason we choose them, was that they were recommended by the former owner and they had done work on the house before.

John Grove, my technician today. I love this company. They are prompt, efficient, and reasonably priced. The gas line to the kitchen was easy. He ran the line to the back of the cabinet and capped it. John surveyed the work for the fireplace, looked in the crawl space, looked in the fire place and basically said he could not do the work because it involved breaking masonry in the fireplace and he was not willing to do that in case there was secondary damages. He also said the work was technical and he was not comfortable doing it. I appreciated his honesty!

I had been told by an Atlanta Gas Co. inspector that there was a gas leak in the line to my pool water heater . I called a Plumbing Co for an estimate. I was quoted $4,700.00 to replace the gas line.I then called PlumbDoctor for a 2nd estimate. Their tech., James , suggested that we should first do a Gas line leak test .He told me the price of that service. He returned on the day we agreed and found that there no leak on the line; the problem was on the heater itself. He is friendly and very professional.

Called to schedule a plumber to come quote out a gas line install, and was informed that they have a $39 service fee for a visit. I confirmed if this was even for a quote for work and was told it is credited towards the work when completed. What if I want three quotes for the job? Seriously, I've never heard of a service call charge for a major installation like this before.

Recent Review: Service techs showed up on time, went to work right away, and addressed all of my concerns. They dug up rusted gas line deep into ground to the point that the gas line was wrapped in tar paper to protect from moisture/rust. They showed me this as I was uncertain about condition of the rest of the pipe.

Recent Review: I called Aquanaut because I needed a shut-off valve installed on a gas line to hook up my new gas stove and I decided to go ahead and replace my water heater before it leaked and made a mess since it was 14 yrs old. Chris stopped by the evening before to check out what he would need for the job which was scheduled at 0900 the next morning. He advised me of the complications that might arise once he started the work. Things went well with the gas stove hookup- he was concerned that the pipe might come unscrewed behind the wall but that did not happen. He installed the shut-off valve and hooked up the stove, leveled it, and tested it. He removed the old water heater and gave me time to clean underneath and behind it before he brought in the new unit. He installed the new one and reattached my "old" recirculator (for instant hot water) and it works better than it ever did before. I also have better water pressure (guess the old one must have had some sediment built up). Chris also removed some gas logs from my fireplace and altogether the work took 4 hours. Everything is working great!

I called three companies to get a quote for this service. The other two told me what it would cost for someone to come to the house and give me an estimate ($70 and $100). They had no one I could talk to in the office about what to expect. When I called Shumate, instead of giving me a price for an estimate, they put me through to the person in charge of residential gas line installations. I had a lot of questions about what to expect and he patiently answered all of them. When I asked about price, he said that it would depend on what they found when they got here (which I understand), but that I should expect at least $500 - he just did not want me to be surprised. He told me they would be happy to do the job, but it was up to us to decide how much we wanted to switch to gas from electric. We thought about it for a month, then decided to move forward. We ordered the oven and I called Shumate. I spoke to the same person and he said that he remembered our conversation. The oven was being delivered in two weeks, but he sent someone to my house the next day to look around and give me a quote. The person that came to my house was on-time, professional and talked me through exactly what they would do, which included replacing an old pipe that was rusting and installing new line. The installer came exactly when they were supposed to (between 8 and 9 AM) and did everything in two hours.
