Drainage and erosion resulted in the need for extensive deveopment of retaining walls. Fantastic work in stabilizing the area and now making it both functional and beautiful. The guys were able to take my vision and make it even better. Attention to every detail.

Very quick and professional communication. Very clear instructions for prepping for the fence install. No surprises, responded to questions in a timely manner. Also made sure to let us know about any changes in cost as we went through the process (original quoted length of fence ended up being a bit short and one of the gates needed to be custom due to the angle of the yard, which was hard to see when they quoted originally with the snow on the ground). The only thing I would say would improve the experience for us would be to have a better idea of when the chain link was going to be put up after the drive date (they drive in the fence posts and put up the chain link at two separate visits). The fence posts were put in on 3/16 and the chain link was put up 3/25, but the email communication gave a very long window of “will be completed before 5/11.” Happy with the product though

Northland was amazing through the whole experience. They were quick to set up an install date and the team was finished the services within a few days time. When the snow melted and we needed the height of our chainlink adjusted, they sent out a repair team and had it promptly fixed. They were both professional and responsive to emails

Our experience with Northland has been great from beginning to end. They were nice, professional and extremely responsive. Multiple quotes were attained and this was the overall best choice for us. We were hesitant to install a fence in the winter but it ended up exceeding our expectation. We had this tiny gap in the back yard and they made a custom gate that blended very well with the fence. Our installers Phillip, Vidal and Hunter were courteous, reassuring and hardworking. Quality customer service is rare these days and they were a breath of fresh air

Amazing!! The team at next day fences are true professionals. Needed some fencing put in quickly and the team was able to come out and quote and delivered even sooner than my desired timeline. The work was done professionally and thoroughly and the customer experience was top notch. Will definitely be referring them to friends/family when similar work needs to be done

David and his team did an amazing job. The fence looks incredible. One of our neighbors was nervous about us installing the fence originally, but as soon as it was built he couldn't get over how great it looks, and even asked for NextDayFence's contact information. We will definitely be hiring him again when we are ready to complete the front yard fence

The fencing is beautiful. We chose black because it looks great with our landscaping. The driveway gates are needed to allow larger access to our backyard to continue improving our site. The fence and gates keep our pets safe. Our pets are family, so their safety is critical. Our dogs are small, and there are no gaps for escape! Thank you

Fencing FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

  2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

  3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

  4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

  5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

  6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
