Very professional and on time. Scheduling was easy. LIked working with the company. But the estimate came through and seemed somewhat very high. I have one estimate to do the entire house in James Hardie siding for 36K + permit costs. The entire house is 2800 Square feet of siding (approx) if I wanted to replace the cedar siding plus the existing siding around the entire house. However the estimate came in for just replacing the cedar shingles which is approximately 1120 square feet. Cost was 31865 for the siding and replacement of the trim on the windows and doors was an additional 2,250. Seemed a bit high. I know its storm season, el nino and is probably very busy, but seems a bit high. Thats 28.45 per square foot.

Cutting Edge Contracting is AWESOME! I had my Roof, Siding, Painting and Chimney done. They walked me through the repairs they found and told me what it would cost before they did the work. The Sales Reps (Brandon and Israel) came by daily to check on the quality of the work and made sure I was happy. The workmen took care not to damage my garden and cleaned up their mess before they finished each day. Their craftsmanship was excellent! They made my house look like new. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a contractor.

Very smooth and professional job. The project manager kept in contact as needed. they ended up doing more than was contracted for and didn't charge for the extra time/labor. Wish I'd been introduced to the crew chief earlier in the job, as he was on site all the time and was very helpful. Project manager was always sure to get my OK before doing any extras - he explained things very clearly. I didn't get another bid that covered the same work. I liked what they proposed and it was clearly stated. I could have gone cheaper, perhaps, but didn't feel the need.

As you will see from ALL the reviews, Peter is great. He is highly professional and goes out of his way to be helpful in all respects. The workers were reasonably skilled and took care to both do a good job and clean up during and afterward. We knew there was some rot damage to the siding which was included in the quote. Once the roof was off, the damage was much more extensive 3-4x the original estimate. They worked with me on the repairs and charged a discounted rate for the extra work. Once it was underway, we found additional minor issues which they included at no extra charge. The materials and waterproofing approach they took was very high quality -- better than what was quoted by other companies. There was extra work here because of the way my roof is designed -- but Peter did not add charges to get it right. Once the work was complete, I was not happy with the finish on some of the carpentry and painting. This was due to my misunderstanding their intended approach. Yet, they came back out the next day and made it perfect at no charge -- approx 6 more hours work. All in all a great value and a great experience. Would certainly hire them again.

Gil Pena is a true professional! He and his crew arrived on time spent about a week working on our house. Gil's employees arrived on time, are well trained, hardworking, polite, and do beautiful work. They were incredibly neat; the men cleaned up at the end of each day. Some of the neighbors who were watching commented on how Gil and quot;definitely knows what he's doing.and quot; The guys broke a window, taped up the glass, and replaced it. Would definitely hire them again and will be referring Golden to others.

After he fixed the leak on the roof, he told them that with the next rainfall, if there should be leaks, to call and he would come to check the work. In the rain, he crawled in the attic and crawl space and found all to be dry. He told them that it could be their siding that was failing. He did not push them towards new siding.

During one of the rain storms in March, I came home to find the roof above my family room leaking. It was a Friday night and I quickly went to Angie's List for a local roofer. I chose Planchon Roofing based on their reports. I called and got an answering service which took a message. Doug called me back and arranged for someone to come out the next day. Santiago came out the next morning, told me the problem was with the siding on my chimney, and patched it. I told him that I planned to have my gutters replaced this summer and would have the siding repaired at that time. Doug phoned a couple of days later and I told him the leak seemed to be repaired. He sent me a bill for $200 (no discount for Angie's List or Senior Discount) which I paid. At the end of that week there was another storm, the stain on my ceiling tripled and began to show another stain next to the first. I called Planchon who sent Santiago back out the next day. He explained that he had not wanted to use tar to repair the leak the first time he came since it would show, but at this point that was the only thing that would stop the leaking. I told him to go ahead. At this point, everything was fine and I was quite pleased with Planchon. The next week I received an additional bill for $65. When I called to ask why I was sent a second bill when, obviously, the leak had not been repaired the first time, I was told that I would need to talk to Doug. It was the following week, after two other phone calls, that he called back. This is where I got a bit concerned. He told me that he didn't guarantee $200 work. That if there was a guarantee, he would add a bit more to the price. Then he said that this time he would let me slide since I had been a good customer -- although this is the first time I had ever used them. I was impressed by Santiago and had planned to have Planchon do the gutter and siding work that is needed this summer. Now I am not sure. Having re-read the other reports, I'd like to hope that this was just a bad day for Doug but his comments on the phone made me quite uneasy.

They came to assess punctually. They called to schedule an earlier date than originally planned (yippee). They came when they said they would, did the work, then sent me photos as well as the invoice. SInce we have had only a couple of short rain events in the few weeks since they were here, I can't yet fully assess the success of the repair (ask me again in April). But after being turned down or not getting my calls returned by several other possible resources for the one small leak I had, I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and ease of dealing with Eastman. They also offered a 10% discount for payment within 5 days.

The solar process wasn't quite as smooth due to a miscommunication and hangup following the installation. "We decided to take on a 500+ sq foot addition and full remodel of our downstairs. With design and permit in hand, we began contacting contractors. What a headache! But once I got together with Mark C. from ADH, things ran unbelievably smoothly. Seriously, we just kept waiting for the ball to drop and it never did. In short, we did a full kitchen remodel, converted a laundry room to pantry, converted a bath to a laundry, renovated three other downstairs rooms, and the addition (living room, powder room, entry, and closet). We also redid the entire siding and updated all the windows. Mark thought there was a chance that we'd be done before Thanksgiving (I set my self up to be ecstatic if we were done by Christmas). The crew left us with our new full house for visitors at Thanksgiving sans interior trim work and a few other little touch ups. They came back over the holiday and knocked out the rest in a couple of days. I couldn't be more happy! Mark, the company owner, was our project manager and Mike G was his right hand man. They were great to work with. Very helpful, very concerned that things went well for us, and that we knew what was happening at all times. The real heroes were the team on the ground. Vlad and Peter were with us from the first day of the project to the last. They were the interior guys and really among the best people that I've ever worked with on any sort of project. Their attention to detail was amazing. This was a huge job and they rolled right on through it like the true professionals that they are. Vlad was great about communicating to me about their workflow and what I should expect to see coming next. Peter was painstakingly detailed about his trimwork and painting (he set a standard for masking our front door prior to painting that I'll certainly never live up to). They've been gone now for a few days and I'll admit I already miss my morning check-ins with them. Vlad and Peter weren't the only guys I want to thank. They had a few other guys that came in with them from time to time to help out on various parts of the interior work. The framing crew was amazing, they framed the addition in just a couple of days and took our paper plans and turned them into something really beautiful. The concrete team knocked out the foundation in just a couple of days (from excavation to pour) and then came back to add a very nice little porch toward the end. The drywall, texture, and HVAC teams were also spot on. What's amazing was how coordinated everything was. For this, I thank Mark and Mike. Admittedly, Mark did say that the timing of things was particularly good, but come on... 12 weeks from first demo to sign off? That's a QUALITY team... I recommend HIGHLY!"

"It went pretty well overall. They provide a very complete and thorough estimate and took the time to answer my questions. They did a good job of protecting the premises while they worked and they cleaned up after themselves. They even did some siding repairs at the contract price even though it involved ordering custom siding. We had some small problems along the way (as is common with every project) and I was very impressed with how Carlos, the owner, dealt with these issues. So far I'm very happy with the quality of the work and I have no leaks! On the downside, they were so happy to please before the project started that they kept telling me that the additional work that I had requested)would not be a problem and would be reasonably priced. When the project started we reviewed my requests and it seemed unrealistic to include the additional work."
