"After many years of thought and planning I decided the time had arrived to completely remodel my 1959 ranch house in Orange, CT. Knowing the project would involve all aspects of renovation (electric, plumbing, windows, siding, painting, kitchen/bath demolition, etc.) I knew a design/build team would be a smart investment. With all the decisions involved in the process the very best one I made was to select Baybrook Remodelers for the transformation of my home. Baybrook’s strength is the depth of service received from the initial consultation to the final creation. The advice and patience of Bill(salesman), Dan(design/estimator), and Maria(designer) was invaluable, they listened to all my questions, looked at all my inspiration photos (egads!), and then helped guide me through the details without pressure or judgement. There was some trepidation on my part as I would be living in the house with my two dogs during all the work, but my fears were unfounded. The project manager Pat came to the site every day to update me on the plan, always inquiring if there were any concerns or problems. The crew arrived on time every day and always made sure all was clean and safe before they departed. John (painter), Percy and Josh (carpenters), Gilson (demolition and more), Wonderson (tile artisan), and many others made each day a pleasure as I watched old become new! The entire project was completed on time even though some unexpected problems (rotted wood and joists) were encountered. All issues that arose were explained thoroughly and addressed immediately. Baybrook has been given my permission to phone me or see my home if you need further reassurance. Just give them a call, they may begin as strangers to you but will feel like family at the end. "I needed the above mentioned work done in my attic since my attic furnace constantly turns on the heat in the winter, and AC during the summer, all while my house was very inconsistent with temperatures. Knew I had serious air leaks and way too little insulation.&nbsp; I contacted Dr. Energy Saver first because this company keeps coming up in every web search. Richard, the spokesman who came to my house was very professional, polite and very thorough in his nearly 2 hour presentation. He was so good, that I got caught up in the sales pitch and fell for the &quot;sign now and we'll knock off $500.00&quot; routine. I agreed to hire them. Gave them $2400 for the required down payment. <br /> The next day I called to cancel. Simply for the fact that it was stupid of me to hire the first company that I got a quote from. Good thing I did, because after searching some more (which was a bit time consuming since Dr.Energy Saver dominates in internet searches) , I found a few other companies. I ended up with EcoSmart Home Services who did an excellent job for the exact same work , using the same type of materials, for a couple thousand dollars less! <br /> So while Dr. Energy Saver's contractor/salesman was indeed very pleasant to deal with, perhaps their high prices has to do with the fact that they are a large company, have detailed websites and fancy informative guide books that they send you in the mail. <br /> I rated them an &quot;A&quot; for Responsiveness, Punctuality and Professionalism since Richard was indeed all that. But a &quot;C&quot; for the proposed price. <br /> <br />

"My project involved a full kitchen and bathroom renovation in my 100+ year old house. It came with all the challenges of an older home, complete with uneven walls and floors, original plaster, and strangely shaped rooms / layout. Leo was very attentive, detail oriented, and always wanted to be sure I was happy with the decisions needed. I never felt like he was trying to upsell me or increase the scope of the project for his own gain. Along the way there were things I added to the scope, but he was always helpful in deciding what was needed or made sense to do vs. something not needed or that might be overinvesting. He was very diligent and detail oriented in all aspects of the job. The project involved leveling and sheet rocking walls and ceilings, new tile throughout the bathroom, new tub, installation of shower doors, removal of an exterior window (and residing exterior to cover the area, which was done seamlessly), new sinks, vanity, mirrors, and fixtures, and a slew of other details I’m probably leaving out. It was a challenging space and came out great! Much of the same was needed in the kitchen, but it also included new cabinets, counters, backsplash, and framing out a very weird wall so the cabinets and appliances would make sense and be even. He also painted all of rooms and left the house clean and beautiful. He was always polite and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend him and hire him again for another similar project in the future.
