It went really well. They finished on time and on budget. I decided to go with IKEA countertop installation as it was much cheaper and Adolfo's crew worked with them on the smaller details. The crew paid special attention to the trim we added around the cabinets and they did a great job of building the pass-through. They showed up, bright and early and even wanted to work Saturdays when possible. They made special attempts to protect the rest of the condo from dust and debris. I got a very honest and professional vibe from Adolfo and he pointed out where things could get expensive and whereI could save money. I look forward to working with Adolfo again.
Description of Work
Complete kitchen remodel. My designer has worked with Adolfo on many projects. Although, I think Adolfo himself has very a developed eye. He has a separate guy for cabinetry and a separate guy for electrical and a separate guy for painting, and they all brought a high level of prefessionalism and expertise to the project. They: --demolished old galley style kitchen; disposed of old appliances --installed and finished Ikea cabinetry --built pocket door for pantry --replaced wooden flooring where needed --plumbed and installed all new appliances --built out kitchen pass-through window into hallway creating a very open space in to living area --installed large format glass tile with appropriate care and trim level --built out new banquette adjacent to kitchen with built in drawers --painted and finished the whole thing and painted living room and hallway at my request at the last minute The cost did not include the appliances, cabinets, countertop or tile materials.

Adolfo came in to take a look at a relatively small (100 sq. ft) porcelain tile floor installation. I hoped to get it done quickly as this was the first step in the process of replacing the entire floor of the main level. He was able to start immediately and his bid was very fair. Plus, he was able to get me a discount on the tile I had picked out! He met me the next day (Friday) at Home Depot to pick up all the materials and make some final choices for grout color and spacing. Once back at the house, Adolfo asked me several questions about the nuances and exactly how I wanted everything. Adolfo and his assistant, Manuel, got started right away preparing the subfloor which was a mess. It involved a little extra work and material that was unexpected and Adolfo was very fair about the additional cost. He is a general contractor so he was able to take care of everything himself. Due to our mutual scheduling needs, they came back the next day (Saturday) to lay the tile and then Adolfo came back himself Sunday afternoon to grout and clean. Without prompting, Adolfo decided that three of the tiles had set too high so he came back one more time on Monday to fix those up. It came out just right and as well as I could have hoped! Great service all around and I will definitely consider Adolfo for future jobs.
