"TRUSTWORTHY CONTRACTOR We had water damage in our kitchen in January of 2020. We called four contractors to provide us with quotes. Michael Baum was the only one who provided us with an itemized quote as requested and prepared it in a timely manner. He was not the cheapest quote, but stayed within the budget that was agreed upon. The price was fair for the scope of work that needed to be done. Our 1960's kitchen required a complete gut job which included taking down a wall. He earned our trust early in the project by providing a discount on a footing that was not going to be required. Together with his son, Chris, there was always someone available at the site. If we had any questions, they responded quickly. They arrived on time every day. This was huge because we had done two remodels in the past and the workers always showed up hours late. Once the pandemic hit, we didn’t know what would occur. With businesses closing and not knowing whether restaurants would remain open, this left us in unknown territory just like everyone else. Knowing we were without a kitchen and now living with yet another challenge, Michael pushed forward and helped us finish the job quickly. The subs wore masks and kept their distance as they worked hard to complete our kitchen. We couldn’t be happier with the results and experience. "Fred at Deco Construction did an amazing job for my parents. Their house was falling apart and they needed someone to help make improvements very badly. Fred and his crew did an amazing job with the balcony, master bathroom, guest bathroom and basement tiles. They transformed these rooms into something fantastic! "We were referred to Kris through a friend who also used Creative Home Remodeling for their beautiful home in Palos Verdes. We received 3 bids for our project and we're impressed with David and Kris from the start. We had some initial delays due to city permits, but Kris was great at setting expectations as this is our first home and first remodel project. Once we were approved to start work, Kris and his team did everything they could to make up for lost time and hit our move-in timeline. As mentioned before, this was our first rodeo when it comes to a home construction project and Kris was patient with us throughout the whole process. He was very helpful with design elements, and vendor and material suggestions to keep costs down. And like most older home purchases, we did run into some surprises...like a leaky roof, outdated electrical and uneven floors.
