Recent Review: Project overview: Because of my past several years' experience with Angie's list, I decided to act as my own contractor for a galley kitchen remodel. The project involved demolishing an existing Spanish tile countertop and backsplash, installing a new countertop, sink and stovetop and tiling a new backsplash. I decided the trades we would need were plumbing, electrical, wall & plaster, countertop & tile. We could have combined countertop and tile, but ultimately split it to two vendors. I gave myself a week to turn the entire project, from unhooking the plumbing to being ready to cook in the new kitchen. I'll start this and the other vendor reviews for this project by saying that the overall experience was great. The project delivered on time, on budget, and with the help and support of the vendors and my wife/project creative - with awesome results. Of course it was filled with problems, as any multi-vendor, complex, sequenced project is... but armed with the Angie's List member community's excellent guidance and shared experience, I was confident in my vendor selection and that they would perform - because the community is watching. That is SO awesome!!! I've owned a home for 40 years and am thrilled that today - with Angie's list - it is possible to do projects like ours (mid size, medium complexity) without paying an extra 30%-50% to a middleman. A note to the contractors... you can bring a lot to the table on larger scale endeavors, but, like doing your taxes, using technology and the internet, the small to medium size project is now firmly in the hands of anyone who is willing to be smart, diligent and patient. JMS Express Plumbing - They were the first trade in to unhook everything and the last trade in at the end of the project (excepting painters) hooking everything back up. It did not occur to me initially that I would need to get a plumber in to unhook everything. Then the week prior to the project implementation, I realized that I needed the plumber to service the project twice. The strong position on Angie's list and positive reviews made me pursue this plumber as opposed to others. The girls on the phone were great and diligent about getting their crews in on schedule. On day one, they sent in a plumber who looked at the job, put in a reasonable quote, which I accepted and he proceeded to disassemble everything. He did a great job and I looked forward to his putting it all back at the end of the week. On the end-of-week install day, a more senior guy (seemed like one of the owners) showed up to assess the job and give me the quote. I was a little concerned because I know this can be a tactic. You want the job done and if you can't settle a price, then you have lost a day - or on a Friday, a weekend before you can book someone else. I have experienced this before. I was very happy when it turned out not to be very predatory at all. He was a professional estimator and sales guy, who tried to sell some ups and extras. That is his job after all. The good news was that when I was really clear about my objectives, schedule and budget, he was totally reasonable and worked with me to get the job on line. By the end of the day, everything was installed, running right and the job was cleaned up. A good experience overall and I was very happy with JMS express. I would happily use them again an don't hesitate recommending them.

Recent Review: I have listed him in my favorites. He was the most thorough compared to the other two companies that I had called to get estimates but his estimate is the very expensive. He took each little piece and broke it down. I also find him an interesting guy to be to talk to. He did a great job of looking at what had to be done. He showed up on time and was professionally dressed. For a guy who is working all his day, he was clean and well presented. He was careful about coming into the house and made sure his shoes were clean.

Recent Review: Scott and Carol were very responsive to all of our needs and concerns. Whenever there was a problem, they stood by their work and rectified the situation. The charges were exactly as bid and any corrections did not incur additional cost on our part.

Recent Review: We had a 80's master bathroom which needed a makeover. I wanted the checker board pattern to be gone. I called a few people/companies and then I called Kristjan. He gave us a quote immediately and completed the work in 2 days. When he arrived the first day, I asked him to take off some of the fixtures because I wanted to change them. He took them off and then went on to fill all the holes/imperfections, sanded, covered all the other areas and painted . We had the sinks, counter top, bath tub with the surround and the shower refinished. Now I have a modernized, clean, bright, new bathroom!

Recent Review: The crew did an amazing job. They always arrived early, worked full days, and showed up when they said they would. In particular, they really know how to PAINT!! They worked very fast, and really did a terrific job on all the cuts/details - of which there were many. The crew was always very polite, and willing to do whatever we asked. In addition to painting, they had to replace sections of siding on our detached garage. They did it fast, and matched the look of the very old siding very well. We especially liked how CLEAN the crew worked, and how they always left the job with things cleaned up, organized, and stacked out of the way. The work was done on budget, and on time. Overall, our expectations we exceeded by this team.

Recent Review: They were all wonderful including the lady that answered the phone and Valerie who guided me through the selection process and pointed out some possible problems and solutions for the problems. Andy came and measured. He explained everything that he was doing and why he was doing it. The guys that came to install were very efficient, knowledgeable and respectful. They did a superb job.

Recent Review: He was very professional and friendly. Since I didn't have the means to pick up the vanity and countertop, he agreed to meet me at the hardware. When the store told me the items weren't ready yet, Andres was nice enough to offer to wait for them. When he arrived at my home about 30 minutes later, he immediately went to work on the installation. Although there were some problems with the plumbing, he fixed them and the installation turned out great. His prices are fair and his work is excellent. The only problem is he is so busy, he wasn't able to do some other projects I wanted.

Recent Review: We had a bad experience with our past remodeling, which made us know for a fact that there is no stress free remodeling. But this was before we had Eran and his team from INA Kitchens work on our kitchen and bathroom remodeling. We are so happy with them. They are very professional, friendly, respectful and reliable. They really made sure that all the work was top quality and completed within a reasonable time. We really don’t think that we’ve had a single unpleasant incident with them. That is not to say that there were no mishaps - there were a couple of minor things - but Eran and his team addressed them immediately. The team always kept the site very clean and were very accommodating when we could not have any noise in the house (this was during pandemic with virtual calls) When these guys said they were coming over, they would arrive on the dot. We were so impressed with them that we ended up expanding our original remodeling plan to refinish our living room, dining room, and one of the bedrooms. Eran is very good with woodwork and he made a beautiful custom made a closet for our odd shaped bathroom for a reasonable price. Their services may not be the cheapest, but we really feel that expense was well worth the quality of work we received. Reading over this, we realize that this review looks suspiciously like something we wrote in exchange for a discount, but Eran didn’t even ask me for a review. We just honestly feel that we owe Eran and his team a great review for doing such a great job.

Recent Review: We had new soapstone countertops installed, subway tile backsplash and replaced stove top, sink and faucet. Tony has a great team. Always showed when they said they would and would quickly come back if anything needed tweaking or fixing. Tony is a super busy guy, and it shows when you talk to him, but it doesn't matter when the work is top rate. Would definitely use him again.

Recent Review: It went great. It was a couple months of work, Julian brought in great workers to create all the kitchen cabinets I wanted, a special 5 ft by 5ft island in the middle of the kitchen, butcherblock countertops in the kitchen and the bathroom as well. The best part was knowing what I wanted and conveying it to them and seeing it come to life. They always gave me several options to save costs and still get the look I wanted. I had some workers come in to do some work before Julian Construction took the job, their work was not. professional and Julian construction ended up re-doing the work for me and doing it right. I had a lot of inspections and they are really great with that and handled everything, all the work passed with flying colors. They finished all the work on time and did an amazing job. They also kept everything as clean as possible during the job, and after it was done they left it in great shape. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and have been let down by many. I just keep going back to Julian construction because they are consistent, do really great work, and always do what they say they will do. That means a lot, and it takes a lot of stress and worry off the table. I love my house and would recommend them to anyone.

Recent Review: The countertop and backsplash turned out first class. The refinishing of the cabinets was truly a miracle - they look 95% new again. Only suggestion would be a bit better communication, but I would definitely recommend Kyle Beym Construction.
