- Mad City Windows & BathsI had a tub to shower conversion done by Mad City. I had three different companies give me quotes and Mad City blew them away. From the initial contact through the installation, all was a pleasant experience for me. Mo sold me on the idea, took his time and was very knowledgeable. Xia did the installation. He was personable, thorough and easy to work with. He did a good job of it. It took 13 hours over two days, since the city inspector came late the first day. It looks really good. I have more room standing than the tub gave me. I wish now I had a third bar installed as my balance isn't very good. The nubby floor with the channels takes a bit getting used to. You might want to have a shower door installed. I need to make sure the shower curtain liner is on the inside of the shower edge, so I don't get water on the floor. It's not a problem--just my diligence is required. I like the softness that a shower curtain gives the room over a door. This was a good experience and one that I'm happy to share
- Mad City Windows & BathsGlitches arose which Mad City was not responsible for. They were immediately responsive once those outside problems were resolved. In three and a half days they were able to demolish the tub, install the plumbing, surround, and fixtures, and install a ceiling piece (not on the contract) which they graciously supplied. I could not ask for a better vendor

As any excellent professional, he was mindful of the surroundings, cleaned after himself, and made sure my hallway carpet did not get dirty from the construction work. - Green Clean Restoration & Carpet CareYou take a chance when a disaster happens and you need to choose a contractor quickly. We were out of town when a smoldering futon left our whole house covered in oily soot. I made a few phone calls and ultimately chose Green Clean over some of the bigger companies I spoke to. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The process of mitigation took about 3 months, but when it was done there was absolutely no smoke smell. They removed ceilings, flooring, and drywall from the most affected areas, and cleaned every inch of the rest of the house. We were pleased with the results and with our initial meeting to discuss the construction phase, so we chose Green Clean's rebuild team to finish the job. This was where our experience went from good to great. I am very particular when it comes to design and materials selection for our 19th century home, and they were open to my suggestions and quirky requests. Mitch and his crew texted me regularly with questions and updates, and they had me stop by to discuss various details. They seemed to really care about making us happy and getting us back into our house. Despite the pandemic and a labor shortage, we had the same crew throughout the project, and I think there was only one week where, due to Covid, they weren't on site. On top of it all, their craftsmanship was really excellent. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the administrative side of this. There is an enormous amount of detail required by a builder to ensure that the work is properly documented and covered by the insurance claim. Rhett was very clear about what our allowance was for each item we needed to select, and answered all my questions (very patiently, I might add). Our insurance company barely questioned anything, and I have to think it was because it was organized so well. We made a few additional updates to our house, above and beyond what insurance covered, and he was transparent, honest, and flexible about the charges. We are now back in our house, 6 months after the fire (Green Clean's initial estimate had been 6 to 12 months), with no sign that we ever had a fire and no financial horror stories to tell. - 4 Seasons Construction Inc.Steve and his team did an amazing job on our two bathrooms. One was completely gutted and we got a new, level floor; bigger shower; custom made cabinetry and all new plumbing...all in a small space. The other got a new floor, new custom cabinetry and new plumbing and countertop. Steve has high standards which stretched our budget to the max but in the end it was all worth it. He is excellent at communicating and getting back to us quickly when we had concerns or questions. If any little thing was not done right, he would send someone back to fix it (even one year later with a small crack that developed in some caulking.) 1.5 years later we are still thrilled with our bathrooms. We didn't know exactly what we wanted but he helped us think through design possibilities as well. Thank you, Steve and team! p.s. it took a little longer than we expected and there were bumps in the road but isn't that the way it always happens with remodeling? Bottom line....we are so happy with the results

They provided me with a professional proposal detailing all costs and showed up and finished the job when they said they would. Very professional, polite, friendly and best of all they did a great job. "Greg and D-Tails get my highest recommendation. I wanted to have an exterior door installed in my kitchen, where there was a window. I had three contractors out for an estimate, including Greg. The other two contractors informed me that this was a huge project that would exceed many thousands of dollars and would require a stucco company that was difficult to schedule. Greg provided a prompt and reasonable estimate without any fuss or dramatics. Greg quickly obtained the permit, and his team worked fast and did a stellar job. We are thrilled!! Greg also volunteered--volunteered!--to provide us with materials so we could do our own little demo project in another area of the house. He told us what to do and picked up his materials when we were done. He could've easily charged us for the materials or told us that we shouldn't do it ourselves. Instead, he was honest and didn't rip us off. I'll definitely be calling Greg again for future projects.

"While I had multiple estimates for the job, Mike showed the most attention to detail of any of the contractors during his estimate, which gave me confidence he would do great, and he did. During the basement office into a bedroom conversion, he ran into a few unforeseen problems such as mold behind a wall and a window behind the wall that neither of us knew was there. Mike let me know what the issues were and then gave me different options of what he could do to fix them. The bedroom turned out great and we've received a lot of compliments on it. MGE is very professional and great with communication, I highly recommend using them for a remodel.

"Dercon was fantastic to work with and I'm very pleased with my final project. I needed my condo windows replaced - 2 fairly large windows. Dercon's estimate was reasonable (of three estimates, I had one questionably low quote, and two that were only $100 apart. Dercon was the cheaper of these two). I met and corresponded with Derek to get started and of all three contractors, this was the best initial experience, from the quote through all email conversation prior to committing to the project (as much if not more of the reason why I picked them as the slight price difference). The crew that came to do the replacement was great, Dercon + crew were great with follow-up, the process was easy from start to finish. And, my final payment was just under the estimate even, because the final permit cost came in lower. I recommend Dercon and would consider them again for any future projects.

"We had Window Concepts replace two sliding doors in our home - one to the deck and one to the patio. They were prompt in getting our home visit scheduled and clear with the pricing and options, as well as the potential delays in delivery due to the ongoing pandemic. The doors came in within the timeframe of their original estimate and were installed with a few hours. There was an issue with one of the door locks which they recognized and immediately schedule a time a few days later to get it fixed.
