CB SHOWERS WAS PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT. THEY WORKED QUICKLY AND WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH OUR BEAUTIFUL SHOWER ENCLOSURE. IT USES VERY LITTLE HARDWARE, BUT IS INCREDIBLY STURDY AND FUNCTIONAL.

The Tile & Grout King Inc
5.0
We were very pleased with the quality of the work. The workmanship of the original shower enclosure tile installation was poor with many gaps in the grout. Tile and Grout King made the shower enclosure tile look better than when it was new. In the five months since it was installed there as been virtually no mildew. The grout around the floor tile was dirty. We figured it needed a deep cleaning or replacement. Tile and Grout King painted a stain/sealer over the grout and we are very pleased with the result.

The contractor performed an excellent job of demolishing my 1940s-era bathroom and installing a modern replacement, with fixtures that I selected. Liron was very responsive and his staff proved to be very capable and efficient. Liron was particularly patient while the glass for the shower enclosure took a month to be delivered from the supplier that I had chosen.

THEY MEASURED FOR, MANUFACTURED, AND INSTALLED CUSTOM SIZE ALL GLASS SHOWER DOOR AND ENCLOSURE FOR THE MASTER BATH. ALL BEAUTIFULLY DONE. THE SHOWER ENCLOSURE FOR THE TUB WAS STANDARD SIZE BUT THEY HAD A NUMBER OF FINISHES AND HARDWARE TO CHOOSE FROM. RECOMMENDED BY A CONTRACTOR.

Re-Bath By Schicker

On August 28, 2014, we signed a contract with Re-Bath to remodel our bath room. The work started October 15, 2014. The completion date was on 11/6/2014. Re-Bath installed the Shower Pan, Floor tile, Wall tile, and the Shower Fixtures, repaired dry rot, leveled the bathroom floor. This work was done very professionally. Schicker Luxury Bath installed the Glass shower enclosure. However, The order for the shower enclosure omitted the Towel Rack on one side panel. After noting the error, they responded and replaced the panel. We couldn't have been more pleased with the overall quality of the work.

Both Tyler and Luis did quality work and explained the process clearly. I appreciated the options stated by Luis. It took a couple of starts to get the scheduling taken care of but that was taken care of. Tyler arrived on time and finished the job as planned. Both men were friendly and helpful.

Better than I expected. They removed and re-installed the shower enclosure. It looked new when they were done. They did it over two days. The fumes were bad and other contractors complained working on the project. They are able to vent away some of the fumes but not all. I have them scheduled for another project.

Normally, I don?t provide feedback on folks I don?t actually hire, but if you live in an apartment, condo, or live in the city, you may want to try someone other than Celebrity Tile. Based on strong Angie?s List reviews, I called Celebrity Tile for an emergency quote (sheetrock/tile removed due to water damage caused by upstairs neighbor). I dismissed the negative comments and retorts by Tony (my mistake). Getting a quote started fine but ended up being a painful, disappointing process. The water damage made my only shower unusable so the project was a bit urgent. Tony, the owner, returned my initial message very quickly even though he was ill. I sent him a very detailed design document which we discussed via phone. We planned to have Tony meet my tenant and do a site visit on a Sunday. Tony cancelled 2-hours ahead of time since he still wasn?t feeling well. That was fine ? things happen (it was Sunday, after all). He apologized and confirmed his interest in bidding on the job. So we rescheduled for that next Tuesday. A week had now gone by. On Tuesday, Tony was actually half-hour early which is better than being late, but not exactly convenient as my tenant wasn?t prepared since it was unannounced. He hadn?t reviewed the design documents, didn?t bring any copies, and generally wasn?t prepared. We all spent about 45-minutes discussing the project and he promised a proposal that night (Tuesday). Tuesday night came but the proposal never arrived. Wednesday night, I was ?dismissed? via voicemail without any reason being given. In discussing this with my tenant, she mentioned he had been grumbling because of the condo?s location (high-rise building), parking, logistics, liability, etc. I really wouldn?t mind except it cost me over a week and I was without a shower. I wish he had been more forthright when we originally spoke as I made it clear this was an SF condo and his business is listed in SF (it?s not). Ultimately this was a 1-1/2 week $7000 shower surround and floor of a standard bathroom ? nothing fancy. All in all, I lost time. Partially my fault ? the prudent thing to do is schedule 3-quotes and tell two of them ?Sorry, I went with someone else,? but I hate wasting anyone?s time. I wouldn?t consider Celebrity Tile for any type of work after the experience I had.

Weiss Bros Tile
5.0
They are very professional and did a quality tile job. They also leveled the floor. Workmanship was excellent. A different contractor reinforced the floor, built the shower pan and installed the plumbing. One bathroom had been done by an amateur earlier so it needed to be completely ripped out and redone. Be sure that proper techniques are used: hot-mop the shower pan, provide proper slope to the shower pan, use lath (chicken wire) and mortar. If floors need to be leveled, let the tile guy know before he starts. Make sure the tile guy and plumber agree on the wall thickness so finished plumbing fits. Resolve any floor joist problems first (which we discovered after the amateur tile install). We installed a couple of extra piers under the bathroom floors to prevent sagging. Everything went perfectly with Weiss Bros Tile. I particularly liked their positive attitude and desire to satisfy the customer. If there had been problems, I'm sure the problems would have been properly dealt with.

H & J Renovations & Consulting

I had used H&J a couple of years ago to remodel my other bathroom and was impressed with them. So when it became obvious that I had to remodel my master bathroom, H&J was my 1st choice. I decided to expand my shower from the 32x32 it was to take some of the closet space from the adjoining bedroom. Sam gave me an estimate showing me what it would cost with and without this additional work. His crew took only 5 days to get the entire job done. Another company I had do an estimate said it would take 3 weeks. This would have been a problem for me since I cannot always work from home. Sam's workers showed up at 8 a.m. every morning and worked really hard all day long and cleaned up well before they left for the day. I would definitely recommend H&J Renovations.

American Kitchen And Bath Inc

Began on time and proceeded fairly well, except for some minor delay with getting some materials. Tile contractor and his helper could have been neater, but the majority of the work done by Gary was professional, efficient, and trustworthy. He was aware of the "customer's needs" at all times. Sometimes communication was slow, but they always "made it right" in the end. I am very satisfied with my new bath!

We interviewed or contacted approximately 7 different contractors before deciding to go with VHB. Most of which we found on Angie's list. Several did not return my phone calls or did not want to even submit an estimate of cost. The others did not provide a detailed itemized estimate of cost . After talking with Arman, I was very comfortable in deciding to go with VHB. He was very easy to work with and helpful in making choices in materials. He provided costs for each phase of the job as well as the planned schedule. The cost of the project was kept to a minimum of overruns. Curtis, the projected manager, was very prompt in providing "change order" costs. There were only two change orders for the project The major extra cost was in the repairing of the wood sub-flooring in the master bath, which was anticipated because there was obvious damage under the old tile from a water leak . There were a few modifications that were necessary during construction which were dealt with satisfactorily and promptly by Curtis at no extra cost. The overall cost of the project was still well below any of the other estimates that I received. Most of the work was done by sub-contractors; electrical, plumbing, tile installation, painting, sheet rock , etc. which I believe caused some delay in the completion of the project. However, the project was completed within the estimated time frame. There was some time lost around the Christmas/New Year holiday season, that was anticipated. There are several things which I would have done differently had I known. We had gone ahead and purchased most of our items and fixtures prior to the start of the project and had them stored in the garage. We thought this would be a good idea in order to resolve problems such as the location of lights fixtures, vanities, toilets and drains. We also purchased the tile prior to the start of the project. This caused a problem in returning the extra tile that was not needed, since the original purchase contract had a 30 day limit on returns. However, Arman and the tile company where very helpful and easy to resolve the issue and come to an equitable agreement. We are very pleased with the look of our new bathrooms.

Mt. Tam Construction

Roger and his team did a wonderful job. The work was done with great quality and attention to detail - installation of new tile, vanity, backsplash, shower valve, shower enclosure, shower wall, shower door, and new doors throughout the house. Painting was done to match the existing paint throughout the home, looks beautiful. Roger met with me initially to discuss what I wanted and got back to me quickly with a quote that contained everything we discussed. The work was completed quickly and Roger texted me frequently so I knew how things were going while I was at work. The final price was consistent with what was initially quoted. I will definitely use Mt Tam Construction for my next home project.
