Ben and Jorge and his crew are THE BEST!! Our garden was a real issue for us and we've been wanting to upgrade for literally years. Chad worked closely with us on this project several years ago. He made the process so easy, discussed options with us and came back with a design we were very happy with. Then we had to pause the project (new baby on the way). We came back to it late this year and this time we worked with Ben. He was such a *pleasure* to work with! We pulled out the original design to review, and he helped us make a couple of adjustments to reflect our evolving tastes. Ben was knowledgeable, creative and thoughtful, finding solutions to fit our new lifestyle. I had about a million questions and he answered each and every one quickly and thoroughly. He was almost as excited for our project as we were! On installation day, Ben showed up right on time with Jorge (project foreman) and his crew. Let me tell you, they were FABULOUS! Professional, efficient, meticulous - Jorge and his guys completed the entire job in just over six hours. They took absolute pride in their work, and simply transformed the exterior or our house. I'm beyond thrilled with the results - my neighbor caught me doing the happy dance in the middle of my front yard before the crew was even finished. We've already got our sights on the next project, and Ben will be the first person we call as soon as we're ready! Thank you, Ben and Jorge!

Wheat's clean up service put our garden in fresh form to allow us to attend to the neglected plantings and flower beds. We were so delighted with results and Wheat's accommodation of special requests, that we saw our garden with new eyes. After clean out--our garden was nominated for local garden of the year and we were inspired to put some effort into sprucing up. Our garden was one ot those chosen in the judging. Ricky’s installed steps leading from our sidewalk to a lower deck. The work was outstanding. I’d provided ideas of what I wanted, and Ricky helped me make final decisions. They were patient about timing so we could get Reston Association approval prior to work beginning. Ricky’s design incorporated the size, material, and the exact look and feel we wanted. The design allowed enough space to make the steps comfortable to use and safe, all while blending gracefully into the landscape and providing a place to garden beside the steps. They also incorporated gutter extensions below the landscaping to improve drainage. The team worked efficiently and neatly. I would definitely have Ricky’s Lawn & Landscaping back for future work.

Very well! We have used Moyers Lawn Service for many years for monthly fertilizing, and the owner, Dale Moyers, responded quickly when we requested an estimate to replace our bushes. He had great suggestions and came back with a fair price. The work was completed on the day scheduled by a skilled, professional crew. Several months later, we determined that one of the bushes was in "distress," so we contacted Dale. He came out in 24 hours to take a look and had the bush replaced the next day.

I don't have a real good comparison regarding their price. They are very responsive and timely. They have a very transparent approach to highlighting the different costs. They have good materials for the customer to read and a comprehensive work site. They are not finished but so far the work has been good.

Had a "special" offer for 4 hours of yard work. Oscar was responsive by phone and was able to schedule the work within the timeframe I needed. He and his crew arrived on time and completed the work in the specified time. Very professional and friendly. Would hire again.

I had been wanting to plant more native species in the front yard, but never got around to it on my own. When I learned Lisa Caprioglio of Aldertree Garden specialized in planting native species, she stood out among the garden designers in the area. Lisa met with me to discuss flower and tree preferences and location. She then proposed a garden design for the front and side of the house. After we tweaked the proposed design, she brought her crew to install the gardens. Lisa was really helpful in suggesting what would do really well in the different garden areas. Once the work got started, we had an additional cost we had not anticipated. We discovered that the soil below the grass was full of pebbles. She and her crew carefully removed the soil one wheelbarrow at a time because they had to avoid the huge number of roots from our prized maple tree. In its place, Lisa filled the area with super rich soil which helped all the plants establish themselves well and even helped the trees nearby. We now have a bird garden, a side garden, and a forest garden. Lisa created a bird garden to attract the local birds as well as those that migrate through the area. In the summer, at the height of the blooms, we had the regulars--cardinals, house finches, wood peckers, doves, and chickadees. We also had special visits by several gold finches. We love Lisa's ideas, patience, and work ethic. I have continued to use her services since the garden was first installed. I highly recommend Lisa of Aldertree Garden.

A large project, involving the removal of front yard sod (approximately 4500 sq feet). Edamarie Mattei , owner of Backyard Bounty was retained to install a native, drought tolerant meadow garden, a rain garden and to assist with navigating the requirements of Montgomery County's Rainscape rebate program. I worked with Edamarie and her colleague Alison Jones for several months on the design for this complex garden installation. During this process we discussed the design options, met in person and exchanged many e-mails, to achieve the most optimum, detailed plan for the property. During each phase of the design process, Edamarie paid careful attention to our property requirements (which included water run-off issues, and a slope) as well as our aesthetic requests. E-mails were answered timely and questions were answered with detailed explanations from both a design as well as the botanical perspective to make sure the material which was installed would be appropriate for the growing conditions. Special attention was paid to my requests for plants of a certain color and growing habit. My concerns about the walkability and safety of hardscape steppers was taken very seriously and were discussed at length (pictures also provided by Backyard Bounty) to make sure I would be happy with the selection. The final plan was exceptional. The plan was reviewed by a Montgomery Rainscapes representative. When questions and some perc issues arose, Edamarie did an excellent job communicating with the Rainscapes program, answering the questions and assisting me through some perc test problems to ensure I would be eligible for the maximum rebate. At the end of the project, after the final inspection, I received the full $2500.00 rebate as a result of her guidance. The day of plant delivery/installation, the Backyard Bounty team and I inspected every plant (approximately 600 plants) and each was in excellent condition. The Backyard Bounty installation team was top-notch, knowledgeable and careful in their work. They worked long hours every day to make sure the installation went as smoothly as possible. Edamarie was present at the site for parts of everyday during the installation to address the inevitable changes that come along with projects of this size. When she was not there, a team supervisor or team lead was present to make sure the plan was followed and implemented correctly. At the end of the installation Edamarie reviewed the plan with me. We went over the changes made during the installation. There was also a walk through to ensure I had a good understanding of the plant names. Unforseen items found along the way, which are part of every project , were addressed creatively and efficiently. Communication throughout the project installation was excellent. Edamarie kept me aware of what was to be happening at the beginning of each day of the installation so expectations were accurately met. The garden is now beautiful and flourishing. I have requested assistance from Backyard Bounty with certain maintenance work. Edamarie is very flexible in helping to identify what work can be done at the moment and what may be deferred to save on financial and material resources. I look forward to working with Backyard Bounty again on future projects.

Deborah, Gerardo and their team are wonderful. From planning to execution, they always put the customer first. All our wishes were included, the work us super professional and the results are amazing. We used them for several projects already and will continue to do so.

Garden's Remembered is primarily a landscape and garden maintenance company. I was looking for someone to design and plant a 500 sq foot garden in my back yard. This was beyond the scope of their primary business. However both Steve and Gabrielle the owners were extremely friendly and helpful in providing referrals to other companies that do landscape design work. I may use them for maintenance once I have the garden installed. Even though I didn't have any work preformed their professionalism and helpfulness stands out. I would not hesitate to recommend you contact them if you have landscaping or garden maintenance needs.

Excellent work from a cheerful and hardworking crew. My front yard is tidy and pristine. Moyers is really pleasant to work with and they are extremely responsive to needs. I’ve used them for years...but this is the first year I’ve signed up for regular maintenance...I guess that comes with older age!,

Steve Horn and his team at Gardens Remembered went the extra mile in helping us get ready to sell our home. They had done a spectacular job designing and maintaining our gardens for several years, and when we made the difficult decision to sell, they did everything they could to help show the house to best advantage. They would even keep in touch if there were going to be showings and come spruce and clean up the gardens. I write about their work in helping us sell our home because it was the latest time I used their services. But I could go on and on as to how skilled and responsive they were for the years they maintained our gardens. Refer to my comments above. Gardens Remembered is truly a memorable service provider.

The plants are healthy and doing well. Organic Edible Gardens was great. Last year, Organic Edible Gardens established an herb garden for us and established several garden areas for planting edible, bushes, plants and trees. Then they re-landscaped our front yard with some delightful bushes and trees. Dylano plans the areas and suggests plants. We check the plants on-line to see if that's what we want. The price and value has always been good. Sometimes, plants get sick, and he'll replace them or know what to do to fix them. We love his work and enjoy our herb garden daily.

We've been using Epling for their mowing/lawn care service for the past 2 years and have been very pleased with their work. We wanted to 'fix' the butterfly garden area that had been decimated by deer. Stacie came up with some great ideas for plants and the layout of the new garden. The landscaping team that came to do the work did an amazing job and were very efficient. We're very happy with the results and can't wait for spring to see our new garden area.

They have visited my home twice. Their work is excellent. I am very, very pleased with the pruning and weeding. I have a lot of landscaping and extensive gardens. I didn't find one spot or place that they missed. The bushes have been pruned beautifully to their natural shape. The garden edges are perfectly cut and every garden has been thoroughly mulched. I am very glad to have such a talented and professional company taking care of this work for me.
