Automattic

Head of Revenue Marketing, WordPress.com

At Automattic, we believe in making the web a better place and making our workplace a happy place. We hope you can join us on this journey!

We are the people behind WordPress.com, Tumblr, Jetpack, WooCommerce, and more. We are looking for a Head of Revenue Marketing to join WordPress.com’s Monetization team.

This marketing lead will drive the marketing strategy and associated revenue growth for our developing plugin, theme and services marketplace, and our website service programs (such as Built By WordPress.com). This is a strategic, high impact role reporting to WordPress.com’s Head of Monetization. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to build out our Revenue Marketing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop repeatable, predictable and scalable revenue for the marketplace and our website service programs.
  • Lead strategy and externalization for all marketing efforts related to the marketplace and our website service programs, including, in the case of the marketplace, product feature updates and announcements.
  • Establish long-term vision and goals for these marketing strategies. Using market insight, help to define how these products and programs will evolve.
  • Monitor and measure impact for marketing-driven growth and lead marketing forecasting for each business area.
  • Optimize marketing and sales funnels to improve conversion rates.
  • Partner closely with WordPress.com’s Head of Sales to help define segmented marketing strategies and develop attribution for each strategy.
  • Be a strategic advisor across Product, Engineering, Design and Sales on roadmap priorities and product packaging.

You’re thrilled about this opportunity because you:

  • Have 7+ years of experience and proven ability in launching successful marketing strategies for B2C and/or B2B products and services.
  • Have strong project management and organizational skills. Capable of balancing multiple projects and goals. Detail orientation where it matters.
  • Have a strong understanding of different marketing channels and how to measure and test to drive continuous improvement.
  • Have worked in highly cross-functional teams, and have proven accomplishments under your belt which showcase your ability to partner with different teams across the company.
  • Have strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Are a compelling communicator, comfortable presenting to executives, with excellent writing skills.
  • Want to work in a remote-first culture that prioritizes results instead of time spent at a desk or sitting in meetings.
