Nueva Extremadura means "New Extremadura" in Spanish, and originates from Extremadura, Spain.

Nueva Extremadura could refer to

  • a region in the north of New Spain, which was not exactly the same territory as today's Coahuila in Mexico. Coahuila's official name from 1687 was Provincia de San Francisco de Coahuila y Nueva Extremadura[1][2] Its northern border was the Medina river; the lands beyond were the New Philippines.[3]
