2021-2022 Russo-Ukrainian conflict[edit]

Shouldn't this be considered "ongoing" by now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.68.163.182 (talk) 18:42, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I believe now would be a more considerable time to add the conflict to the "current events" area, alongside COVID-19, as the actual invasion has commenced, and Putin has officially declared war against Ukraine recently. -> JLL9T (t, c) 10:45, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Has my full support, I don't see why it hasn't already been done Lallint⟫⟫⟫Talk 17:26, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it should be in ongoing. Bkdb44 (talk) 18:39, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please make it as "ongoing" Sgnpkd (talk) 21:55, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why has this not already been added to "Ongoing events"? What is required to make this happen? BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 10:14, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please add 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine to the "Ongoing" line of "In the news:" BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 10:33, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done @Bastun: (A) This page doesn't contain this text, it is from another template. (b) That article already has an entire line in the template. (c) You can discuss ITN changes at Wikipedia talk:In the news. — xaosflux Talk 15:00, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a ridiculous answer, surely an invasion by a major European power shouldn't be excluded from an ongoing section due to template issues. This feels very much like evading the question as to why this is not on the ongoing section. Especially considering things have made it onto the ongoing section of far less importance. 20:12, 7 March 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bkdb44 (talkcontribs)

Please add Category:WikiProject Current events. It's the main cat for this portal and the associated project. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 20:56, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done @WikiCleanerMan: "Portals" are content pages, so I'm pretty sure they shouldn't be in meta-categories; can you point to precedent or style guidance for this? — xaosflux Talk 14:40, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Xaosflux, Portal:History, is categorized under Category:WikiProject History, Portal:El Salvador has Category:WikiProject El Salvador, Portal:Florida has Category:WikiProject Florida. These are some portals that have this categorization I just found. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 17:13, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Better linking to sources?[edit]

I was looking at the list of events for today and saw "The US Department of Defense says that Russia is losing momentum in its attack on Ukraine." I checked the source but the CNN website is structured in a way that makes finding the exact place that this claim comes from a pain. Is there a better source/better way to document sources from this website? Also btw I was not able to find this information I quoted on the website.-153.33.150.165 (talk) 20:05, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are enormous mistakes in this document. First off, Russia was pushed to a corner with missiles at its head. Second off, the U.S.A. caused this with their NATO program. Third off, the U.S.A. is the real enemy declining Russia's request to join NATO, NATO was actually formed formally against USSR, now Russia. Player34r (talk) 12:41, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2022 Ukrainian refugee crisis[edit]

I just created 2022 Ukrainian refugee crisis. Any help would be appreciated. I think it should appear when ready. Thriley (talk) 18:06, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Russian sources[edit]

Hello, I have found a Russian source for one of today's news headlines or whatever you call it. Russian sources are noted as unreliable as they are Russian state run media. I had to point this out. Felicia (talk) 16:40, 10 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Page Layout[edit]

Sections like 'Ongoing events' used to be on the right side but are now on the bottom, unless I shrink the page size. What happened? Thanks. Using Monobook in Opera, Win 8.1.--Smarkflea (talk) 17:22, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
