    Dear support ,

Today I received an alert about Black Studio TinyMCE Widget plugin below :

    * Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/black-studio-tinymce-widget.php

And I found you released a new update yesterday , Is it related to new update or not ?
What should I do to fix it ?

    Best regards

    Dear @theworkshop
yesterday there was an update but it was just an informational update about the “Tested up to:” value included in the plugin header and readme.txt (no functional changes).

    Dear Marco Chiesi (@marcochiesi)

    Thanks for your response .

I checked it and I am sure it happened when new update released .
It indicates that the version I installed is different with WP version .
Because you have updated it in the context of old version in WP , then the new update is not available in my WP dashboard and it resulted to this error .

Can you help me to fix this issue ? or may release this change as an official update ?

    Best regards

The update is not available on your WP Dashboard because the plugin version hasn’t changed. The only modifications were made in the readme.txt and in the main plugin file black-studio-tinymce-widget.php and the purpose was to avoid the warning “This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress”. It was not supposed to trigger a plugin update, because there were no functional changes.

Probably you have a tool/plugin that detected those changes and considered them potentially malicious.
If you want to 100% align your copy with the one on the repo you can just edit the files and change the “Tested up to:” values in both files according to what was changed on the plugin repository.
    See here for details: https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?old=2226308&old_path=black-studio-tinymce-widget%2Ftrunk&new=2476917&new_path=black-studio-tinymce-widget%2Ftrunk

Alternatively, you can just uninstall and reinstall the plugin (no data will be lost).

    Hi @theworkshop
in the black-studio-tinymce-widget/black-studio-tinymce-widget.php file no PHP code was changed, the only change was in a comment line that reports the WP version compatibility (“Tested up to”). This is just to notify people that the plugin is compatible also with recent versions of WordPress.
So basically, the plugin is unchanged and you shouldn’t have any issues keeping the original file. You can safely ignore the alert about the updated file(s).
