Big Update

Since version 3.0 or higher, you can now regenerate thumbnails of your existing images!

When you upload an image using Media Uploader, WordPress generates multiple copies/thumbnails of that image. By default, WordPress generates 4 thumbnails-

Thumbnail
Medium
Medium-large
Large

But along with this, theme and plugin developers can register their own thumbnails. Although they may be on purpose, but sometimes they remain unused.

Think about it, unnecessary additional images are eating up your server space and slowing down your site!

Sounds like a problem? What is the solution then?
This is where our plugin comes into the picture. Just install the plugin and choose which of the imaze sizes you want to prevent from generating.

Installation

Upload image-sizes to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress
Go to Image Sizes menu from the left and choose which of the sizes you want to prevent from generating.

FAQ

Does it work with multisite?: Yes, it’s fully compatible with WordPress multisite installations
Does it work with WooCommerce?: Yes, it doen.
What about my old thumbnails?: From version 3.0 and higher, you can now regenerate thumbnails of your existing images. Just go to the Regenerate Thumbnails tab and click on the Regenerate button.

I've just used this plugin, and it cleaned about 80% useless files, so MARVELOUS!! However, a part of thumbnails were resized (ex: from 300x179 to 300x180), so that some articles couldn't read them, and I must edit the articles manually. It's a very good plugin, KEEP GOING and IMPROVE IT! 我剛才使用了這個外掛，清除了大約80%沒有使用到的檔案，令人驚奇! 然而有一小部分的縮圖被改了尺寸 (如300x179被改為300x180)，以致於部分文章的縮圖變成破圖，無法讀取，我必須以人工方式去修改文章讓縮圖能正常顯示。這是很好且實用的外掛，請繼續維護和改進吧!

This plugin deletes all SVGs that are uploaded to the Media directory. I normally wouldn't rate the plugin straight away because of this, but this bug was reported over 2 weeks ago. So, unknown to me, I had all my SVGs deleted when setting this up today for the first time. This SVG bug was reported in the Support area here in this plugin's repository.

Whilst the plugin is great for what it's meant to do, it's recently been bloated out trying to advertise crap and all the callbacks to the codexpert.io site are too slow causes massive slow downs. It's always a shame to see really useful plugins/apps/software bloat themselves out and turn themselves in to an awful experience after they get a little popular.

Yes the plugin does do exactly what it says and it even does a very good job but under no circumstances whatsoever is it at all ok to colonize the entire WP backend with your ads. It would be much nicer if you could just keep them on the plugins settings page. A while ago you forced a dashboard widget making calls to your blog on every single admin page causing insane performance issues that I had to manually modify your plugin to disable it and now this. Thanks but no thanks. Goodbye.

I appreciate the usefulness of this plugin and the desire to sell your products, but the obnoxious banners for unrelated products that started showing up are appalling. I had to dig around to even figure out who was responsible for them since the banners are for plugins I've never used.
