    Hey, so, a lot of people I know who have boomer parents ranging from controlling to abusive have gotten calls encouraging them to "come home" and "ride this out with your family". It sounds a lot like they're worried for you—and maybe they are. But you don't have to say yes.

    Um, yes, yhat's exactly how trade deals work. For the 1,000th time: the UK cannot have a data adequacy agreement until it is a third country outside the EU, not before; and because of surveillance & human rights issues there's no way in hell we'll get one.

    It’s a common misconception that burnouts come from hard work. Burnout comes from a felt loss of control and/or impact. Always remember that you can burn out employees (or yourself) with little to no work.

    The harder I work the more work capacity I develop. I’m sure burnout exists, but I doubt it’s caused only by hard work.
