  • curprev 12:5412:54, 21 July 202227.5.208.66 talk 21,219 bytes +43 This Wikipedia article means to list the official names for the country in all of its languages. India might be a Greek word and Bharat might be the endonym but for this article, that is pedantic because the Tamil Nadu government and the Puducherry government both use the term இந்தியக் குடியரசு to refer to the country and not பாரதம். undo

  • curprev 14:0414:04, 15 July 2022116.73.176.166 talk 21,019 bytes −1 I changed the Tamil name for the country from Bharatham to India. The citation given, while it explains why the binomial system is being followed, doesn't reflect the reality in official usage. All government insignia in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, use the word இந்தியா for the country and it is my opinion that this be reflected instead of a mere translation of the word Bharat. undo
