300-F1 Combat Paramedic Program (CPP)

The United States Army Combat Paramedic program has been issued a Letter of Review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). This letter is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status, it is a status CoAEMSP Policies and Procedures for Programs 8 Approved by the CoAEMSP Board of Directors May 7, 2021 signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. Letter of Review is recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for eligibility to take the NREMT`s Paramedic credentialing examination(s). Scope:

 The Combat Paramedic Program is a 30 week program of instruction designed to take EMT level Combat Medical Specialists 68W in the ranks of PFC to SFC and prepare them for National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians - Paramedic examination while educating them to have an extended scope of practice designed to meet the needs of current and future operating environments. This course is fully sponsored by the Uniformed Services University – College of Allied Health Sciences and generates 47 credits towards an Associate of Science in Health Sciences (ASHS) Degree in Emergency Medical Services (Army Paramedic).

Purpose:

 • Create an operationally focused, national registry certified advanced enlisted provider.

 • Prepare medically informed critical thinkers for the challenges of MDO / LSCO / Independent Duty.

 Goal:

 • To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians and/or Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels.
