The work they did was superb. Finished product was clean and professional - no complaints with the work at all. The only issue I had was the lack of communication. They didn't finish when they estimated they would - which wasn't a big deal, except no one communicated that to me, and they were in the house on days I didn't expect them to be. No one ever called to say - we have to finish this up still, and will be by at such and such time. It would have been nice to be informed of their progress and the fact that they were coming in to my home on days after they said they would be done. They did follow up to make sure everything was done according to my expectations; there were just a few little details left which they were more than happy to fix!

We needed our popcorn ceiling removed. The Armas family did an outstanding job all around. From coming out to give an estimate, getting us scheduled quickly and doing excellent work to remove the popcorn and patch and texture to get it ready to be painted. Andres is skilled and professional. He finished the job on time and for the quote he presented.
I added a few things to the job at the last minute to make the most of his time, he did not complain and was able to keep to the original time line. He did charge extra for these additions and the amount was very reasonable.
He will be back for the upstairs work, I trust him and appreciate his level of work.

Presley and his crew laid a 30x15 concrete slab on our back yard. They performed prompt, quality work at a competitive price meeting our difficult time frame with almost no notice. It was tough work as we previously had a deck there with many posts as well as 2 over 12'' thick concrete slabs from the stairs of the prior deck that they busted up with ease and hauled away. Great crew.

Hired Pepe several months back for tape, mud and orange peel texture of a master bedroom I remodeled myself. Home is a newer 2014 scrape & build in Platt Park area. Finishing work is of higher grade quality than the drywall crews being used by top tier builders that built our home and others in area (ex, Larsen/Craft). Pepe's head guy has been doing this for 20+ years, and it shows. Will be bringing D & J back to do a grade 4 slick in garage (workshop) I'm finishing, as well as some home theater amendments. Needs to be a bit more on top of clear communication, but for the quality of work and fair price point, very easy to look past. Once they arrive, it's on!
Spent a good deal of time wading through other HomeAdvisor high rated drywallers, either the job was not worth their time (ie spoiled by the times) or they wanted to charge price gouging rates for a straight forward 2-2.5 day bid. Don't get taken advantage of due to the very "hot" denver housing market. When things eventually calm down/soften, those are the types that risk not having enough loyal client base to stick with them through tougher times. Short-term greed over long-term loyalty rarely works out.
D&J is at very top of the my rolodex list for anything drywall. Strongly recommended and thanks again!

We hired Galto Residential Contracting to remove the popcorn ceiling from the entire first floor of our house, plus the second floor stairway and hallway areas. I was given a competitive bid (one of four bids received) and we scheduled to work. Andy Galto and his crew arrived as scheduled, and completed to project in a workman like fashion on a timely basis.
Popcorn ceiling removal is inherently messy. The real issue is in prepping the ceiling drywall for a smooth finish. The contractor worked with us to get the smooth white finish we wanted, done to our satisfaction. The premises were cleaned up at the conclusion of the project, though we still had to deal with some of the drywall dust generated though the smooth sanding of the new ceiling.
Overall, we are very pleased with the work done, and at a fair price.
