Is AVG TuneUp an antivirus?

No. AVG TuneUp is a PC optimization tool that speeds up and cleans up your PC while fixing issues that may cause system crashes and other unexpected behavior. There is no “AVG TuneUp antivirus.”

Although AVG TuneUp does not actively protect your PC against viruses, you can use the application alongside trusted antivirus software to identify and remove unwanted programs that may have been installed on your PC as a result of malware.
