"We recently did an addition and a full remodel of our house. We were new to the remodel process when we first started seeking bids for our project. Moein was one of the first guys we spoke with. In fact, we found Lavan Construction through HomeAdvisor. We told him we were new to the process and were not sure what to look for. He spent a couple of hours patiently explaining the process, what to look for, pitfalls etc. We hadn't decided on a contractor then (he was one of the first we met), we had not committed to a contract with them but he still spent a lot of time explaining the remodeling process. We actually used that when we met other contractors! Eventually we picked Lavan because of their honesty and openness. Besides, incidentally one of my coworkers was also remodeling at the time and she happened to mention that they were using Lavan too (this was after we had met Moein and Fahid and nearly made up our mind). That made our decision even easier. From the get go Lavan was very professional and prompt. When Fahid visited our house for the first time he right away got into the 'weeds of the remodel' and pointed out things which no other contractor had pointed out. This shows his vast experience and attention to detail. As per contract our project was to last 6 months, we later added several things to it, and yet they completed the project on time. One thing I would specifically like to mention is how they accommodated our needs during the remodel process. Since we were remodeling the entire house it would have been so much easier for them had we moved out of the house. But we could not do that for budgetary reasons. We were very upfront about the fact that we could not move out for more than a few weeks. They accommodated our request and made arrangements for us to live in the house while the work was going on. We have a toddler and I was worried how this would work out, but Fahid was very meticulous about ensuring the safety of my family through this. My little one loves him! Regarding the work itself - because of Fahid I now know what a top quality finish looks like. They never cut corners, several times going above and beyond what was in the contract without charging extra. In fact several times I would propose some changes, and he would patiently explain why it was not possible to do those, with technical details, even if doing the work would have been to their financial benefit. He treated this like his own home, and let us know honestly if something was not needed, or if we could save money by doing it in a different way. He worked very hard to get us huge discounts on a lot of the materials, so we could stay on budget. Overall we found a contractor we could trust completely, and who build us our dream home beyond what we had imagined."

The final result exceeded our expectations and has made our newly purchased home more functional, as well as more comfortable. "It's been a fantastic experience working with Javier and team from A&O construction. I would heartily recommend them to all and would look forward to them for my future renovation and remodeling work too. My project started with a garage remodel quote but we later figured out that it would make sense to also upgrade the plumbing which was old and rusty. Javier was able to understand my requirements clearly and his quotes were better than other competing offers I had inquired about. When working on the job, Javier and his crew were thoroughly professional and demonstrated good work ethics and discipline from the start. I'd recently purchased my home and while the house was upgraded by the prior seller, the garage had not been done well. There were holes in the wall from plumbing, AC installation and other general work. Javier and team tore down and rebuilt the entire garage and their work involved replacing insulation, adding new drywall sheets, moving all the electrical, water and gas pipes behind the drywall, fitting in new lights, epoxy coating the floor, closing the semi-open attic, installing new doors for the garage and home entrance, installing a pull down attic ladder and covering the heating and ac units. I'm extremely pleased that Javier was able to execute to the plan I had in mind. He went above and beyond in working on specific things and had a very good eye for detail. Lupe, Fidel and team did an awesome job in upgrading the plumbing from older galvanized pipes to copper plumbing throughout. This also involved replacing the old tanked water heater with a new recirculating tankless unit installed outside the garage. The team detected a few leaks from cracked tiles in the bathroom with water seeping behind the walls. Hence, I ended up remodeling the bathroom almost entirely as Javier was able to give me good ideas and reasonable quotes on the different pieces. All-in-all, it was a fantastic experience working with the team and I love my new garage & bath!"

Great communication, answered all of our questions and we had A LOT. Just a very pleasant person to work with. The work was completed on schedule. We did encounter some lumber issues due to Covid but we were still able to work through it and get the project completed.
