They did superior work, found my problem within 45 minutes and fixed it. But they seemed a bit pricey. They were always on time, but had a practice of calling the night before to say they were coming next morning. Not much advance notice. Even so, I would gladly call on them again--fantastic work, honesty and quality.

I used Carmon Contracting to completely finish my basement and add an egressed window. I had initially contacted several contractors for estimates, and I'm so glad I ended up using Carmon. The initial consultation went great, and far beyond what the other contractors had done for their consults. Chris Carmichael came to my house and spent a lot of time measuring and inspecting the area, and listened carefully to me and what I wanted. He did a thorough job providing the estimate, and spent as much time as I needed to understand the costs and process, which was really helpful, and made the process less intimidating. He took the time to answer all my questions and had many excellent ideas which were eventually incorporated into the final project. Also, Chris was extremely knowledgeable with regard to code requirements, and knew more about Virginia building laws than other companies. That in itself was something that really stood out to me, and made me feel a lot more secure in initiating such a large project on my home. Once the job started, everything Chris outlined went exactly as planned. The crew, headed by Eddie, was always on time and worked on my project diligently and with expertise. Eddie fully addressed any concerns or questions I had, and the crew always left the worksite very clean and organized. Anyone I spoke to knew their tasks and each worked with proficiency to complete. Winston, who worked most days, was pleasant and very skilled. As a team, Eddie and Winston provided me answers and a wealth of informationâ especially concerning the cutting of my cinderblock wall, to install the egress window. Overall, Carmon was really professional, thorough, and consistent, which made this process so much easier and less-stressful. The basement is now complete (ceiling, walls, flooring, closets, outlets, lighting) with a very nice egressed window. It looks great, and I couldnâ t be happier with the results. It was a real pleasure working with Carmon Contracting!

You hear a lot of horror stories when you embark on a major renovation. Not with Carmon. Everyone should have the pleasure of working with Mark, Joe, Eddie, and Winston. In a way, they became part of the family as they were working in and around the house - trusted, respectful, courteous, and smart. They're problem solvers, and never "upsell" or try to get you to do more than is necessary. They keep their word - they arrive when they say they will, and leave the job site with minimal dust, debris, or trash. Most importantly, they're true craftsmen - from how they build the estimates, all the way though the detail, point-up, and finish work. Everything was done to with a high degree of quality and attention to detail. I can't recommend them enough! If you're considering a renovation, do yourself a favor and add Carmon to the list. You won't be disappointed!

Mark was very professional. I really appreciated how fast he responded with any questions I had. He worked with us to plan our hardwood floor and drywall repair while we were out of town. This made the whole process less distruptive and smooth. It was nice to come home and have the damage repaired and brand new. Very trustworthy and plan to use in the future.

Mark and Joe were both Great. We saw one or the other each day and sometimes both in the same day. The installers were great also. They covered the carpet to keep in clean and were friendly. They started on time and ended on time. This was a bathroom remodel. Had the tub removed and put in a shower. Walls were removed and flooring. The finished product was nice. They only problem I had was that it was priced with fixtures of better quality but recieved cheaper ones. I was told they cost more then priced.
