Tony immediately knew the problem as a described to him the spots that have appeared on my TV screen. I did my own researched and found this was a very common problem with Samsung DLP TVs. He gave me an estimate of $300. Almost didn't go for the repair since I know that newer and latest technology HDTV can be had for around $500-800. However, since I have invested some of my own time researching this problem, I had to see it through. Tony is very professional and since the repair is simply replacing a chip, I know that the week time it took for him to do the repair was simply the waiting time to get the parts. Overall, the repair is simple and straight-forward. I would recommend him for your TV repair needs.

Owner showed up with all of the tools, diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes, described the problem and gave me the repair costs. Total labor (including $20 house call) was $115 and parts were $51. Specialist had repair parts with him. Job was completed within an hour and TV now works perfectly. One visit, one repair, and very inexpensive relative to most costs for TV repair. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a fair and quick resolution to a dead TV.

Lee's TV & VCR Repair
The TV started to fail to display a picture a week before. Sometimes it would. Sometimes it wouldn't. I consulted the Web (Sony and Angie's List) and identified Mr. Lee as a possible repair service (the TV has a CRT and weighs 250# so taking it in to Sony was not attractive). He asked the precise model and problem, and said that he could fix it, had the parts, and it would cost $200. The problem was clearly getting worse, so on Saturday I called and asked when he could fix it. I suggested that afternoon at 2PM and he said that was fine. He showed up at 2PM. Opened up the TV, did some voltage tests, and then proceeded to replace a single small IC on one of the printed circuit boards (removing the old one from the board and substituting the replacement part). The problem was fixed (he warrented the repair for 90 days). I asked how much I owed him. He reiterated $200 which I happily paid. He made good money on the repair even considering the travel from San Jose to Palo Alto. I couldn't be happier having had the TV fixed within four hours of placing the call. During the service his phone rang from time to time and he did business as necessary. He was completely professional and neat in his work.

They couldn't fix my TV, so they helped me install a new one. They were very helpful and kind. They were excellent and did what they had to do. They cleaned up after they had done the job. They sent a guy who tried to fix my TV and he honestly said that there is no use repairing it. He suggested buying a new one and he installed the new one. They were honest and that is what I was looking for.

It was always nice to use AVE TV Repair when they were needed-one time we wanted a very old but beautiful stereo fixed but he explained why it wasn't a good idea-this company would rather be honest than make money being slightly dishonest. They also fixed our microwave oven. Price is always fair. I'm not really sure of the dates but couldn't make report without a date.

The repairman tried to repair the TV, but it ended up taking six visits to get the job done. He was an older gentleman who didn't seem very honest about whether he could fix the TV or not. He didn't seem very qualified for the job. Otherwise, he was friendly and professional. He ended up taking the TV and came back the last time and installed it and it worked.

All when great. Tony is a very nice guy. I contacted him through is e-mail. He gave me an estimate for an in-house repair and we set the appointment by e-mail. Tony got to my place on time and fixed the power board of my TV there in front of me. He brought some help to unmount the TV from the wall. And he gave me 180 days warranty fro his work. I really like him and will recommend him to any one. He also leveled the other TV on my room and replaced the HDMI cable from behind the wall.

Even though I didn't get estimates from other repair shops, I felt the amount he charged was reasonable. They came out. My wife used the self-cleaning; it melted the bottom of the oven. It hasn't worked right since, so I wouldn't recommend them. What they did was put in a new cabinet thing. Well, they put in the cabinet worked okay, but the oven doesn't perform. You set it up for 400, and it would be 250. Yesterday, we had the cake in and the only way I could get it up to 325 is if I cut it to 400. I came back later on it was down to 200. The price was $600; I wouldn't have minded the $600 if it worked. The work didn't hold up. The cabinetry's okay, but the rest of the oven quit working. I don't know what they did because they had to take it completely apart and put it back together. That's what held the inside together that's the main part of it. The company who made the stove I wouldn't even give them a good grade, they wouldn't cover the cabinetry. You would think if you have a self-cleaning oven, you would try to see how the temperature would affect the material it was using and it wouldn't melt the bottom of the oven. I'm very disappointed with them. Up until we had that problem, it was okay. I think the main problem is the level couldn't withstand the heat, so it melted and from there it just went downhill.
