The Governor of Balochistan is the head of the provincial government in Balochistan, Pakistan. The post was established by President Yahya Khan on 1 July 1970, after the dissolution of West Pakistan province and the end of the One Unit system. Although the Governor is the head of the province on paper, it is largely a ceremonial position; and the main powers lie with the Chief Minister of Balochistan and Chief Secretary Balochistan.

However, the powers of the governor have been vastly increased during periods of governor's rule, where the governor is provided the province's apex powers usually following the dissolution of the Provincial Assembly or the declaration of martial law. Officeholders charged with governor's rule were Akbar Bugti (1973-1974), Ahmad Yar Khan (1974-1977), Rahimuddin Khan (1977-1984), Amir-ul-Mulk Mengal (1999-2003), Zulfikar Ali Magsi (2008-2013), Muhammad Khan Achakzai (2013-2018).[1] and Amanullah Khan Yasinzai (2018-2021). Syed Zahoor Ahmad Agha was appointed as Governor on 7 July 2021.[2]
