School Overview:  FSPDS develops leaders one student at a time. The school has been in existence since 1965 and is organized in three separate teams.  The Force Support Development team is responsible for providing functional PCE opportunities for Force Support officers, civilians and enlisted personnel.  This team concentrates on leadership and foundational education that supports officers and civilians throughout their career from the time they enter the career field until they separate or retire.  Many courses focus on developing competencies that allow leaders to succeed in a contingency environment as well as the challenges of leading within the Force Support Squadron environment or at various staff levels within the A1 enterprise to include HAF, Secretariat, A1 Field Operating Agencies and MAJCOM A1 staffs.  Additional courses are offered in various specialties to prepare individuals for duty assignments in Mortuary, Airmen and Family Readiness, Civilian Personnel and Manpower Staffs.

The Installation Support Development team provides education and training for individuals selected to perform duty in protocol, resilience education, sexual assault response and victim advocacy.  These courses are available to individuals selected to perform duty in these positions and students represent a wide variety of career fields and career series.

The Program Support team provides support and assistance to Course Directors, Training Managers and Students.  This includes course and classroom scheduling, course support, quota management, AV/booth support and technology integration.

The goal of the Force Support Professional Development School is to provide professional continuing education that meets the needs of our leaders as well as our diverse student population.
